There is no remedy for love but to love more - Henry David Thoreau
Hi Hivers! Happy Valentine's ❣️! How's your Valentine's Celebration? You know what? This question always lingers in my mind since it was raised by my professor when I was in college. I was puzzled, what was there on this date? But anyway I will just answer "Ahmmm Sir, it is the same as usual cold as the night breeze" 😁. We will just laugh together with my classmates. They don't know that I am serious, hehe.
Every year he will never forget to ask me the same question. Sometimes I pray don't ask me again and again because I don't have a new answer 😁.
I was not into an intimate relationship nor wished to have one when I was still studying so naturally I don't have any date.
Until I had finished my Bachelor's Degree, passed the board exam, and got permanent work. However, it was not easy for me to get my permanent job. I worked for two (2) years as a volunteer. It means I did not receive any salary at all. It was so frustrating.
I reached the point where I blamed God for my situation. Because all my plans were not realized. One of them was, I would send my younger sister to college. One time God struck me with His Divine Power. After I took the hostia I fainted in the church on Christmas Eve. When I opened my eyes the first thing I saw was the white cloth of our priest. That was on December 25, 2005.
By then I realized my sin. I promised God I would not do it again.
What surprised me most was after more than a month God granted my prayer. My permanent appointment was signed by our School Division Superintendent on February 14, 2006. I felt like I was on cloud nine. I felt super blessed. This was my first memorable moment and I had a reason to be happy on February 14. I celebrated my anniversary in DepEd every Feb 14.
I thought that was all I had to celebrate every Feb 14 but wait there's more. Last December 2006 I agreed to have a relationship but I did not take it seriously. Because I am busy with my Master's Degree Course every Saturday and Sunday. I don't have time to date someone.
My boyfriend felt I was not serious at all. Not knowing what was his plan, on February 14, 2007, he approached my parents and asked for my hand. I was shocked because he did not tell me in advance. My parents agreed for I am already at the right age to marry someone.
These two (2) reasons made my Feb 14 a memorable one. My work and my family that I have.
And now I thought about adding another memorable experience. To merge my work and my family to celebrate on Feb 14. I want to share my happy moments with my loved ones through work.
So this is it! The 6th High School Day of Ilihan Integrated School was celebrated on the date I love the most, February 14.
It was a successful one. Thanx to my IIS Family for working hand-in-hand with me. Especially to the King and Queen of IIS 2024 and His Majesty. I know by this little gesture of love I showed to them, they can remember it when they grow up.
I will share with you some of our preparation for this Valentine's Day 2024
After 16 years of marriage, this is the second time I think I have indulged in Disco. My husband was waiting in my office while I danced with my teachers and students. I need to wait until 11 PM for I promised them that we have a Disco until 11 in the evening as approved by our Barangay captain.
As I returned to my office my husband was already sleeping, hahaha! I was amazed by how he trusted me the most. We reached home at almost 12 midnight. He supported me always without complaint 🥰.
Yes, I believe that we cannot obtain peace in our family without love.
Happy hearts' day everyone ❣️♥️🥰😍!!!
