Foggy Grain Run, Empty Barrels, S9 Running, PDC and Modus, Fire, Grilling - Friday

Yesterday morning I was on the road before 4:30am on my way to town for grain. When I left the house it was clear but as I got closer to the city the fog got denser and denser.

When I got to the Steam Plant the stacks were well socked in. It was interesting the gaggle of homeless under the overpass as I backed in to the alleyway. All awake and milling about compared to normally they are all still passed out.

I had 3 barrels to load so 2 went on the trailer and the one in the bed of the truck.

As much as I love having the bright light in the alleyway it does wash out the stacks a lot.

I had to stop in Hillyard for gas as my light was on and I didn't want to chance the extra 7 miles to the Maverick.

I got the boys to school and once back home the fog had settled into our valley pretty thick and it sat here for the good part of the morning.

Around 9am I emptied the grain out and all 3 barrels just finished covering the main garden. I have to figure out where I am putting the 4 barrels I have this morning...

I was watching the live UPS map of my S9 which was signature required and the timing was exactly right for me. UPS pulled into the yard at 1:45 and I was able to follow him out of the yard and go pickup the boys right on time. Once home I got it setup and hashing away temporarily on a chair in the living room.

The trailer needed to be hooked up again for my grain run this morning. The driveway is SUPER muddy from the melting runoff of the garden so I have some huge ruts that I am making that will HAVE to be raked out before the soil dries in the shape.

We got rid of Centurylink now that we have Starlink and the cable that ran from the service box to inside the house got repurposed. I chopped the ends and installed cat5 plugs on each end and ran the end into the little shed by the house. Here I have good power, the ethernet cable, and the fans are not able to be heard. I will probably end up putting it in the studio where it will be more protected.

So I was hashing away on Ocean overnight but this morning there was zero stats on their page so I said fuck it and went to slushpool which is now Braiins and also the same as the firmware on my miner which gives it an extra 3Th/s boost. I know I won't be profitable but I just want to be involved in hashing for the network. The S9 was cheap enough I am fine with it.

All day darts was on. Started with the Modus series which is the feeder to the Premiere League then the PDC Masters came on mid day, then Modus was on again in the afternoon and evening. I can honestly say that it helps to practice while watching the "pro" level players. I try little tweaks and variations which sometimes are exactly what I needed.

I got the fire going at dusk and got it built up well and then let it burn into the wood a good bit.

I had to fight the fire to get it into the grill area but managed and got our burgers grilled then the buns toasted.

Got out to soak but as the jets pounded on my back I felt my neck going and after a bit over an hour had to get out to use the massager on my top vertebra. It is amazing how well it works to stop the pain though the aura of the pain lingers for a while. I'm just relieved to have a means to deal with the pain quickly.

This morning I have been to town for again again already and in an hour or so I will go empty the barrels which I am really not sure where they will go yet. I got my S9 setup on the Braiins mining pool which registers the hashing it is doing already. It will take 6 months to get to a payout amount from the pool so just got to let it do its thing. PDC Masters continues today, R has a bday party in the afternoon to go to, then I will grill for dinner again tonight.
