The Strength of A Handicap

Good afternoon my beautiful and handsome entrepreneurs. I trust you're all doing well. I'm good as well.

I welcome every one of you to my blog.

I want to share my today's experience with you on what I title the strength of a handicap. I don't want to forget what I saw, that's why I'm writing now.

While on my way to school earlier this morning, I passed by a certain market close to the University of Uyo town campus.

But since I didn't have anything to buy at the market, I greeted some traders who were there before I passed, since I was having a lecture at our permanent site, which is far from the town campus.

Immediately I reached the place where I was supposed to board a taxi at the annex campus; I saw a taxi that wasn't filled up, so I decided to pay for the services they were about to render to me before I entered the taxi.

The driver drove us safely to school, and we all parted. I attended the lecture; then I boarded another taxi back to Annex, where I entered the taxi.

After stepping out of the taxi, I had in mind to buy a cake for myself. I didn't need many, just two hundred naira cake. So when I went to where I was supposed to buy it, the lady told me it was five hundred naira, so I left.

I didn't know what to buy anymore. So, while I was about to pass by the market the second time, I saw a very beautiful lady. She sat beside the market with some food items, and she also sold fish pie.

I took my time to look at her. While I was looking at her, I discovered she was a handicap, a big one at that.

She had only one hand and one leg, but yet she was a very good entrepreneur. What baffles me is that she couldn't walk an inch anywhere.

It was someone who took her to her residence. I couldn't stop crying for this woman. I didn't cry because I felt like crying, but I cried because of her health condition.

I decided to use the money I was supposed to use and buy cake, I bought fish pie from her, and she was so excited. I told him I loved her effort, and she appreciated me for complimenting her.

I saw strength and courage in her. Please permit me to say that she's stronger than many of us who call ourselves entrepreneurs.

Immediately I left her, I heard a voice saying to me, can you do what she's doing? And I said to some extent. Honestly, she deserves to be respected by all mental beings.

You have two legs with two hands, and yet you're busy complaining that you cannot do business; what will you say if you're also opportune to see this woman?

I know if you see her, you will feel bad because you're not perfect in what you do. But I didn't write this to make you feel bad and insulted either.

But I decided to share this to encourage every one of us to make sure we don't have any excuse to give when it comes to business.

Seeing that woman motivated me to put more effort into my business. I also want you to be challenged just as I was.

Be determined to make a difference at your business place. See this as an opportunity to take your business to a higher level.
