Parece como si ya ha pasado mucho tiempo cuando hablamos de temas y experiencias de quienes nacimos en los años 1900, o para que suene más dramático, el siglo pasado.
Pero nada más alejado de la realidad, pues aunque los tiempos han cambiado y las tecnologías se han desarrollado sobremanera, hay tradiciones, imágenes y sonidos que resultan tan familiares en la actualidad, que quizás a muchos les cueste pensar que no pertenecen a este milenio.
Caminando por un centro comercial me di cuenta de ello, pues exhibían mucha mercadería con personajes que, inclusive, fueron creados mucho antes de yo nacer!.
Y aunque algunos están en desuso, igual son tomados como objetos coleccionables o como parte del decorado, anhelando un poco esas épocas del pasado, o alimentando la curiosidad de quienes lo ven por vez primera.
Lo que más me gustó ver fueron esos personajes de los dibujitos que me entretenían en mi infancia y que todavía siguen siendo aceptados no solo en la merch, sino también en plataformas de TV tradicional y digital.
Puede que parezca un tanto nostálgica, o que repita la misma frase de mis ancestros, pero luego de ver tantos recuerdos, pareciera que todo tiempo pasado fue mejor, o en otras palabras mucho más genuino.
It seems like a long time has passed since we talked about topics and experiences from those of us born in the 1900s, or to be more dramatic, the past century.
But nothing could be further from the truth, as even though times have changed and technologies have advanced greatly, there are traditions, images, and sounds that are still so familiar today, that many might find it hard to believe they don't belong to this millennium.
Walking through a shopping mall, I realized this, as they displayed a lot of merchandise with characters that were even created long before I was born!
And although some are no longer in use, they are still taken as collectible items or as part of the decor, evoking a bit of nostalgia for those past times, or fueling the curiosity of those seeing them for the first time.
What I enjoyed most was seeing those cartoon characters that entertained me in my childhood and still remain accepted not only in merch, but also on traditional and digital TV platforms.
It may seem somewhat nostalgic, or like I'm repeating the same phrase as my ancestors, but after seeing so many memories, it seems that all past times were better, or in other words, much more genuine.
