Our Delicious Lunch Today: Adobong Pusit and Ube Halaya 🍽️😋

    I wanted to share with you our delightful lunch today, prepared with love by my wonderful wife. We enjoyed a savory dish and a delicious dessert, both of which were absolutely mouthwatering.

    🦑 Adobong Pusit 🦑

    For the main course, we had Adobong Pusit. This is a classic Filipino dish made with squid cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic, giving it a rich, tangy flavor. The squid was perfectly tender, and the sauce had just the right balance of savory and sour notes. Here's a photo of the dish served with rice and a cold glass of Coca-Cola:

    🍠 Ube Halaya 🍠

    For dessert, we treated ourselves to some Ube Halaya, a sweet and creamy Filipino dessert made from purple yams. We bought this from our neighbor, and it was topped with a generous amount of cheese, adding a delightful contrast to the sweetness of the ube. Just look at this colorful and enticing treat:
