Happy weekend, dear Hivers! Our team agreed to work this Saturday at the office to finish some of our 2024 transactions. If you'd ask me, it's not really uncommon for me to work on weekends as I've come to make it a habit of wrapping up some of my work on weekends. But today is an official workday for us. Before we start our tasks, we first set our target deliverables for the day so as to have clearly agreed outputs.

The weather is sunny today, contrary to last Friday night. I put my earphones on and listened to my favorite playlist. Lately, I've been listening to Hale songs especially when doing some task.

Time went by so fast that the next thing I knew, we're done with our deliverables for the day at 5pm.

I planned to attend the 7pm novena at Sto Nino by myself since my officemates are either done attending the mass or has attended virtually via Facebook live.

It's actually liberating to go solo for the first time this week. My only dilemma is the transportation to and from the Church. But as they say, If there's a will, there's a way. So I booked a taxi and went.

Like yesterday, drizzle of rain started pouring in the middle of the mass. But thankfully, I was able to secure a spot that has a roof for rain protection.

This week, my manager spoke to me and offered, informally, a vacant position within our team that is higher than my position. It's not really a promotion but taking the position would allow me to maintain my "rank" within the team. With careful consideration, I gladly accepted the role.

Although I am not after climbing the corporate ladder, my goals has always been to learn and gain as much experience as I can in this company, just like a sponge. And accepting this new role aligns with that goal.

So part of my prayer intention in today's Novena was guidance from Sto Nino for this decision that I just made.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

    Sending some love and light

    Love, Jane
