It's time to put away everything related to Christmas and get back to everyday life! Yes, I know we are in February, but in the Andes, in January, there is the tradition of making the paraduras which are like a gathering between family and friends who come together to honor the nativity, in short it is like a party, some more private and simple than others, but it is a beautiful celebration.
After that, everything can go to its place, so the nativity went back to its box, wrapped in the same paper it had when we bought it, and here I leave you my first tip and that is to keep all the ceramic objects, wrapped in paper, never in plastic bags, this way we protect it from any damage and from losing the color.
Once all the objects are stored, it is time to take care of the lights, and if you do not want to suffer the next Christmas, I recommend you to roll them neatly in a recycling cardboard or in a paper cylinder.
This year, as you can see, I was helped by my son. He gets very enthusiastic about these things, so I let him collaborate with me. This year I didn't use sawdust or any of these things precisely because of this, I knew he would want to participate and these powders or glitters that are normally used can cause allergies.
Once everything was organized and stored in its place, I dampened a cloth with a little vinegar dissolved in water to clean all the spaces and began to place the decorations and things that are usually found in the library. Among the decorations we have this collection of owls that I like a lot and these parmalat dolls. Who remembers them?
There was room for fun and we played with the gold ribbon for a while, so we kicked off Carnival, which is just around the corner. Indeed, taking down the Christmas decorations makes us feel the empty spaces. I would like to buy some new decorations this year, fingers crossed for that.

¡Llego la hora de guardar todo lo relacionado con la navidad y volver a la cotidianidad! Sí, ya sé que estamos en febrero, pero en los Andes, en enero, está la tradición de hacer las paraduras que son como una reunión entre familiares y amigos que se unen para rendir honor al nacimiento, en pocas palabras es como una fiesta, algunas más privadas y sencillas que otras, pero es una celebración hermosa.
Después de eso, todo puede ir a su lugar, así que el nacimiento volvió a su caja, envuelto en el mismo papel que tenía cuando lo compramos, y aquí les dejo mi primer consejo y es guardar todos los objetos de cerámica, envueltos en papel, nunca en bolsas plásticas, de esta forma lo protegemos de algún daño y de que pierda el color.
Una vez guardados, todos los objetos, es el momento de encargarnos de las luces, y si no quieres sufrir en la siguiente navidad, te recomiendo enrollarlas de forma ordenada en un cartón de reciclaje o también en algún cilindro de papel.
Este año, como pueden ver, me ayudó mi hijo. Él se entusiasma mucho con estas cosas, así que dejé que me colaborara. Este año no usé aserrín ni nada de estas cosas precisamente, por esto, sabía que él querría participar y estos polvos o brillos que se usan normalmente pueden provocar alergia.
Una vez todo organizado y guardado en su lugar, humedecí un paño con un poco de vinagre disuelto en agua para limpiar todos los espacios y comencé a colocar las decoraciones y las cosas que usualmente se encuentran en la biblioteca, Entre las decoraciones tenemos esta colección de búhos que me gustan mucho y estos muñecos parmalat. ¿Quiénes lo recuerdan?
Hubo un espacio para la diversión y jugamos un rato con la cinta dorada, así dimos inicio al Carnaval, que ya lo tenemos a la vuelta de la esquina. Efectivamente, quitar los adornos navideños nos hace sentir los espacios vacíos. Quisiera comprar algunas decoraciones nuevas este año, cruzo los dedos para lograrlo.
