Making resolutions at the beginning of each year has become a ritual of strategic living. We believe success is accompanied by well detailed plans, and if you ever want to succeed, then you need to have a plan, a roadmap to where you are going, how you'll walk down there, and probably things to show you're there. But then, evaluation and monitoring comes in to see how far we've gone, how effective our strategy has been , and what things are needed to make it a success.
I had so many plans at the beginning of this year. I like to know I have something I hope to accomplish, even though I don't accomplish some but I still do that regardless. My major goal this year is to complete a building project, have one extra source of income, and I talked about building my hive portfolio, but I don't see the later part happening. I have so many financial engagements that take away the need to put in money or buy certain tokens to stake. It's just the quarter of the year and I've taken that out of my to-do list,except if I'm able to accomplish the two earlier mentioned before December.
On a scale of 1-10, I'll rate myself 4. I'll try and I need to give myself that well-done talk. I wasn't prepared for the vicissitudes that arose, but then I'm able to manage them while still striving for my goals. So far I've made progress on building a business and completing my building project even though it's not yet completed, but there's progress. The reason why I have given myself a 4/10 is because what I have accomplished is not up to half what I had written down to do, but the fact that work has begun is a good sign.
Since I started setting goals, this year's response to it has been different. Most often I ignore the goals while struggling to survive or switch to a lesser one but this year has been different. The fact that the cost of living is high, the economy is bad, and inflation has made it difficult to think of set goals. People are doing more to survive than making goals, except for those who are in the category of the rich.
A 4/10 rating is an improvement on my end. The previous years had always been 0/10. At the end of the year I thank God for surviving and moving on and we go again the following year without any achievement. Here are things I've been able to accomplish
- A small scale business
- Funds to put in my building project
- More funds from certain investments.
I believe there'll be more before the year comes to an end, and it may probably come to a scale of 8/10 or maybe more, because the little improvement has been a motivation for me to do better and I hope I'll be able to accomplish my two major goals before December
