A blue sky day. Spent the morning doing investing updates as the plan for the day was barbecue dinner at friends. That got changed late morning as one of the protagonists had a footy match to watch at 6 pm. Not a problem - maybe get a ride and a walk in later
Landed up doing the bbq myself - never a problem. Our friend's daughter is paranoid about food that is a little aged. Scotch fillet was bought on Wednesday - kept in the fridge - blood did smell a bit. Washed it all off and cooked two steaks - the rest had sausages. Between cooking and chatting my job - walk the dog
Photos come from the walk the dog time - two tone rose. Not quite in focus but that adds to the subtlety of the photo
Iceberg rose
Bromeliad
Red hibiscus - photo got a bit stylised from a mini video
Gardenia.
Got the dog walked. Had a good bbq. Steak was absolutely fine despite the fears.
Was a tough day, the day after the Bondi Junction stabbings
That triggered a whole lot of memories. This photo is St James Street London - the tarpaulin marks the Carlton Club bombing. My office was down the side lane where the arrow is. This was one of many such London close calls to add to the Johannesburg bombings from years before
Why go on about it? Close calls. Friends
Yep. The person on the left is a friend. She is a famous Australian sports person - think Olympics. The lady on the right was one of the victims and at one time my wife's physio. Time to stand tall and say - no more!!
