The face of Ilorin City had a face lift since the construction of the underground pass at the popular Geri Alimi roundabout. Before the construction of the underpass there used to be heavy traffic at the junction especially in the evening when workers and business people were returning home. The infrastructure gives the city a beautiful look.

The problem of traffic was seriously menacing in Ilorin at the axis adjoining Odo-Ata Community down to the General Hospital at the popular General Junction. The movement of motor vehicles through this axis used to be dreadlocked due to the poor condition of the road then.

The underground pass ease the flow of traffic as those vehicles coming from Eyenkorin to the biggest market in the city, Oja-Oba could easily pass through the underground road. The other vehicles from the Sawmill Area could now flow easily.

Those who are going to Mandate Market now take the former road turning to Olorunsogo Road. Olorunsogo Road is the road leading to Mandate Estate where the popular grocery market is located. Adjoining the Olorunsogo Road is the road leading to Al-Hikmah University. Al-Hikmah University is an Islamic University.

Opposite the Olorunsogo Road is the Asa Dam road leading to Offa Garage. Along the Asa Dam road is the factory where iron sheets and metal building materials are produced.
