When I think of last month June, the only word that comes to my mind is regress. I had so much planned for last month that I ended up doing literally nothing for most of what I planned to achieve. I compare last month with the previous month which was may. For me, I did really well in May in terms of the things that I had planned to do with myself.
Before I finished University I had planned to do certain things and the time frame was for one year. I had planned to study certain languages and at least be good in them before the year ends. Ever since June started I had planned to start studying those languages but it wasn’t good until the ending of the month when I got the zeal to start.
So first of all I must admit that some of my goals for last month were pretty massive to be sincere. I wouldn’t say making or setting out to achieve something big is a problem but when it comes to money it’s a big fuss when you don’t have so much to spare. Last month I set out to reach 2k Leo power or even more. I didn’t factor in certain situations which could come up along the way and at that time the goal was to just reach 2k Leo power.
Well, I obviously didn’t reach that goal as my Leo power is still at 1.5 k since last month. When lpud came I was only able to power up about 50 Leo to mark lpud. So what will I do differently this month? Well, the goal for now still remains to reach 2k before this month ends and then from there I’d decide on building slowly. I’ve realised that when I take my time and do it slowly I wouldn’t face difficulties on the way.
The next problem that I faced on the way was posting. One thing this I’d like to make clear is that it’s perfectly normal to see the enthusiasm towards hive decline when the price of hive is declining. This has been a long standing trend in this ecosystem. But for me it has never been my way of doing things. This is because the price of hbd is mostly stable and pegged at 1 dollar so whether hive is low or not you’ll still have your hbd at 1 dollar. The only downside to the price of hive going doing is that the amount of money you got from an upvote will significantly go down because of the bad prices.
What I intend doing this month is to at least make one post per day. Most of the time I over burden myself will trying to publish two to three most a day that I don’t have any energy left for the next days post. I’ll like to be a consistent blogger, one who is known for posting everyday.
I think it’s time I talk about my studies. I already said in the beginning that I had pledged to learn a new language before finishing university. Well, it has been going well as I have started with those classes. The only difficulty that I face now is when I go to work, I can’t balance that for now especially if my position for that day is not favourable. However am sure I can balance it in between here and there when I get back home from work.
The next one has to do with procrastination. I think for most people we face this problem. Even this post that I am writing now should have been written since morning but I procrastinated it until evening. Procrastinating is the cause of not achieving things that you set out to do. I find that making a list of the things that I plan on doing for the day has helped me these past weeks even though I don’t usually follow through with everything on the list, it still helps a great deal.
So this month, set out to not procrastinate. Don’t put your mind on things that will eventually waste your time, remember that time wasted can never be gotten back so use your time wisely even if you start out slowly.
