This is it! My review of the last of the goldbacks I had previously bought. This one features the State of New Hampshire.
If you've seen some of the other designs, you'll notice that there is typically a female personification of a virtue, depicted as a Native American.
Obverse
My camera skills on this one failed pretty badly. Here is a stock photo from JM Bullion, so you can better appreciate the design and details.
In this image we have "Gratia" depicted in what I imagine is supposed to be a natural setting for the Native American tribes of this region. You can see a home in the background, with a pumpkin in the foreground, along with what looks like a cat.
Reverse
The reverse on a goldback is simply a mirrored, more reflective image of the obverse. The material is so thin, adding a design to the back would clash with the design on the front.
