Hoy, como cierre de Proyecto Escolar, Miranda tenía un paseo guiado al Museo Marino, y cuando su maestra pidió voluntarios entre los representantes para acompañarla en la actividad, por supuesto no dudé en hacerlo, y me anoté junto con otra mamita como ayudante.
Y finalmente hoy, después de dos semanas esperando la gran aventura, más de 100 niños emocionados esperaban ansiosos subirse al bus que los llevaría al Museo Marino.
Un total de 4 secciones, correspondientes a 5to y 6to grado, cada una en un micro bus, salieron del colegio rumbo a Boca del Río, lugar donde se encuentra el Museo Marino, donde los esperaba su gran aventura.
Para muchos de los niños era la primera vez que iban, incluso, a esa parte de la Isla, ya que queda bastante alejada de donde vivimos, de hecho toma más de una hora llegar al lugar, así que se podrán imaginar la emoción de todos por ir a un lugar nuevo en bus con todos sus compañeros.
Para Miranda, aunque no sería su primera visita, era como si lo fuera, pues estaba bastante pequeña las dos veces que fuimos con ella y no recordaba absolutamente nada, así que estaba más que feliz de poder ir, sobre todo porque debido a que sufrió una crisis asmática hace poco, estuvo a punto de no hacerlo.
Así que se despertó temprano y preparamos todo para el gran día, y salimos del colegio a las 8:00 a.m. con un montón de niños felices que debo decir se portaron bastante bien durante todo el trayecto.
Por supuesto, los aparatos electrónicos se hicieron presente y fotos iban y venían. Me resultó muy gracioso ver a las niñas usar sus brillos labiales y hacer sus mejores poses para sus selfies, por suerte Miranda aún no está en esa onda y pidió mi celular para jugar (ufff que alivio).
Después de hora y alguito de camino llegamos al Museo Marino, y luego de desayunar en el malecón que se encuentra justo al frente, comenzó el recorrido que para mayor comodidad se dividió en dos grupos; uno con las dos secciones de quinto y otra con los chicos de sexto.
La verdad me sorprendió que los niños estuvieron bastante atentos a las explicaciones de la guía y fue genial verlos disfrutar del recorrido conociendo un poco más de la vida marina.
Creo que la exposición que más disfrutaron fue la correspondiente a los vertebrados, sobre todo la de las tortugas y delfines, y por supuesto los acuarios, que aunque no tenían tantas variedades de especies como en otros tiempos para ellos, todo fue nuevo y emocionante.
Para mí, como mamá fue genial ver a Miranda interactuar con sus compañeros en un ambiente distinto al colegio, y debo decir que vine súper feliz por los comentarios de la maestra sobre su comportamiento en clases. Es una niña educada, ordenada y muy responsable, así que mamá más orgullosa no podía estar.
Por otro lado, aunque mi intención al ir era acompañar a Miranda, ya que nunca ha ido con terceros a ninguna parte, y mucho menos con tanto tiempo de trayecto en carretera, me mantuve lo más alejada que pude de ella para darle su espacio y que disfrutara de la salida, cosa que hizo, pero de vez en cuando se acercaba a mí para mostrarme algo que hubiese llamado su atención y luego se unía a su grupo.
La visita duró cerca de dos horas y finalizó con la mejor parte, el acuario de las tortugas marinas, que para ellos fue lo máximo. Y con unos niños para nada cansados, sino más bien activados a mil, subimos al bus para regresar al colegio.
¿Yo? Bastante agotada, pues el bus era pequeño y me tocó ir y venir de pie, así que se podrán imaginar, pero, por otro lado, súper feliz de haber podido ir con los chicos y ser de ayuda a la maestra, eso también es parte del proceso educativo de mi flaca, y soy de esas mamitas que trata de estar en todo.
Today, as a closure of Proyecto Escolar, Miranda had a guided tour to the Marine Museum, and when her teacher asked for volunteers among the representatives to accompany her in the activity, of course I didn't hesitate to do it, and I signed up along with another mommy as a helper.

And finally today, after two weeks of waiting for the great adventure, more than 100 excited children were anxiously waiting to board the bus that would take them to the Marine Museum.
A total of 4 sections, corresponding to 5th and 6th grade, each one in a minibus, left the school heading to Boca del Rio, where the Marine Museum is located, where their great adventure awaited them.
For many of the children it was the first time they went to this part of the island, since it is quite far from where we live, in fact it takes more than an hour to get there, so you can imagine how excited they were to go to a new place by bus with all their classmates.
For Miranda, although it wouldn't be her first visit, it was as if it was, as she was quite small the two times we went with her and she didn't remember anything at all, so she was more than happy to be able to go, especially since she had an asthmatic crisis recently, she almost didn't make it.
So she woke up early and we got everything ready for the big day, and we left the school at 8:00 a.m. with a bunch of happy kids who I must say were pretty well behaved the whole way.
Of course, the electronics were present and pictures came and went. I found it very funny to see the girls wearing their lip glosses and doing their best poses for their selfies, luckily Miranda is not in that mood yet and asked for my cell phone to play with (ufff what a relief).
After an hour and a bit of walking we arrived at the Marine Museum, and after having breakfast on the boardwalk just in front of it, the tour began, which for convenience was divided into two groups; one with the two fifth grade sections and the other with the sixth graders.
I was really surprised that the children were very attentive to the guide's explanations and it was great to see them enjoying the tour and learning a little more about marine life.
I think the exhibit they enjoyed the most was the one about vertebrates, especially the turtles and dolphins, and of course the aquariums, which although they didn't have as many varieties of species as in other times for them, everything was new and exciting.
For me, as a mom, it was great to see Miranda interact with her classmates in a different environment than school, and I must say that I was very happy with the teacher's comments about her behavior in class. She is a polite, orderly and very responsible child, so I couldn't be prouder.
On the other hand, although my intention in going was to accompany Miranda, since she has never gone anywhere with third parties, let alone with so much time on the road, I stayed as far away from her as I could to give her her space and let her enjoy the outing, which she did, but from time to time she would approach me to show me something that had caught her attention and then she would join her group.
The tour lasted about two hours and ended with the best part, the sea turtle aquarium, which for them was the highlight. And with the kids not tired at all, but rather activated to the max, we got on the bus to go back to school.
Me? quite exhausted, because the bus was small and I had to walk back and forth, so you can imagine, but, on the other hand, super happy to have been able to go with the kids and be of help to the teacher, that is also part of the educational process of my skinny, and I'm one of those mommies who tries to be in everything.
