Hi everyone, I m Jaydr, I also use the artiste name Jaydeedoc Music with which I share my music on streaming platform, but I had never really used distribution platforms to share them to places like spotify and boom until the last few days.
I must say the experience os eye open as music is more than just the melody, it is a whole business and if anyone really wants to go in that part, so much intellectualism may need to be portrayed. I was caught up in the process, so I decided to write a few things down to share here on and also to get several; other peoples perspective to the use of the platform.
WHY I CHOSE DISTROKID
As a distribution platform promising 100% royalties on my songs after a one time anuual payment, I knew it was something I was interested in since I have more songs to publish in a year.
I also do have a lot of projects going out so instead of cutting off my royalties in other platforms taking 15 to 20%, I felt that might be huge money if everything goes right and I wouldn't wanna be loosing all that to a distro platform.
Plus, I need somehelp with promotion and distrokid does offer some of that.
How ever, it being my first time, these may all be very funny compared to someone whohas been on this for a longer time.
Moving On
I registered for distrokid last year because I knew that NAira to Dollar rates where not going to be funny by the time I was ready to upload. Here in Nigeria, the Naira has decided to sink further cause so much bubbles for the innocent citizens.
With that done all I needed was to get my required record and designs ready and when that was set I began to input the necessary details carefully.
Now my song is now on spotify, but I am still awaiting the hyperfollow link to be updated.
About My Song
This is a Gospel-Centred Song, one that speaks about the power of intercession for the gospel of Jesus and the carriers of it as we take it "to the nations". It was so beautifully done, I ve had it on reply while I pray and play.
