I think anyone who's had a job, the difference comes when you go to work with pleasure or you go as if you're being pushed from behind.
When you go to work with pleasure, everything is perfect, there is collaboration, understanding and the team has a single goal, but the problem changes when the workplace is a torment.
I can even tell you my own experience of managing work conflicts.
I worked for 11 years in the same job and had no adversarial discussions with coworkers and I really enjoyed what I was doing at my former job.
But the problems started with the change of the boss, a very high percentage of colleagues chose to betray the old boss and turn into the servants of the new boss, in order to ensure their continuity.
I am a person with a backbone and I chose not to betray my old boss and to remain faithful to the end, but that's why the work conflicts started.
Now the backstabbers have shown their true colors and would have done anything to scare us into abandoning the old boss, we've had everything from verbal and even physical conflicts.
As I have written above, I am a calm person and all these types of conflicts I have tried to resolve in several ways.
The first way we did this was to sit down and have a round-table discussion to find a middle way to get along until the change of bosses was finalized.
Unfortunately this method didn't work and the conflicts became more and more unbearable and even took the form of strong pressures, I think that if we stayed in this environment we would have certainly reached physical aggression.
What have I decided to do to put an end to these situations?
As you may already know, I resigned.
I decided that this was the best decision, so I wouldn't do something stupid that I would regret later.
In conclusion, I can tell you that I personally tried to manage the work conflicts I had lately through communication, reaching a common denominator, decided to leave and finally decided to resign.
