Happy first weekend of this year @asean.hive community. The school days of my kids are going back to normal. I can already feel the expenses right now. I also joined a savings group where I need to pay 20 pesos per day for the whole year. In December I will get all the money that I've paid to the treasurer. The idea is brilliant because they can use the money while at their hands.
While we can sit back and relax I've saved a lot of pictures in my gallery. Food of course, a great family bonding and with a husband I have all I need is to wait for him to finish cooking.
Dinuguan
Is a famous Filipino savory stew usually of pork offal (typically lungs, kidneys, intestines, ears, heart and snout.) If your not a fan of eating those weird stuff you can just used pork meat, simmered in a rich, spicy dark gravy of pig blood. The most important ingredient garlic, chili green long chili and vinegar. Before stabbing a pig, a container with vinegar and salt is prepared. This will help to stop the forming of the blood.
For this recipe hubby used pork meat. He cut it in bite size, boiled it with a little water and wait for it to subside and slightly fry it. On the same pan saute with garlic, onion, ginger, tomatoes, fish sauce and seasoning. Add the blood and vinegar. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes and add the green chili. Taste and adjust according to taste.
After the New Year's celebration I know you also have left overs so we grilled in a steel basin. After the season's holidays the high tide was also back. We didn't expect this, last year there were none. Anyways our plan work and the meat was cooked.
While the best breakfast is to eat beside the prosperity bowl. Before 00:00 of January first I put my cellphone beside the prosperity bowl. I prayed that I will soon harvest the fruit of my hard work.
