I am a person who really appreciates art in all its expressions and I am an innate observer of architectural styles and designs therefore I found a divine space for it in this great platform, the Architecture + Design community. But I also really enjoy visiting museums, galleries, theaters, fairs; everything related to art I'm passionate about, so I didn't find a more suitable community for my interest than this one, and here I am.
¡Hola amigos! Hoy me presento en esta comunidad que acabo de descubrir gracias a mi amiga @indipnash91, y estoy realmente emocionado. Soy una persona que aprecia mucho el arte en todas sus expresiones y soy una observadora innata de los estilos y diseños arquitectónicos por tanto encontré un espacio divino para ello en esta gran plataforma, la comunidad Arquitectura + Diseño. Pero también disfruto mucho visitar museos, galerías, teatros, ferias; todo lo relacionado con el arte me apasiona, así que no encontré una comunidad más adecuada para mi interés que esta, y aquí estoy.
Walking through the historic center of my city, Havana, among so many beautiful buildings from the colonial era that stand out for their neoclassical, baroque and eclectic style, a magnificent building in front of the San Francisco de Asis square caught my attention. As I approached to learn more about it, I found out that it was the Casa Estudio of the Venezuelan painter Carmen Montilla Tinoco. This building dates from the 17th century and suffered the ravages of a fire, but was rebuilt in 1994 and became the painter's home until her death in 2004.
Caminando por el centro histórico de mi ciudad, La Habana, entre tantos hermosos edificios de la época colonial que destacan por su estilo neoclásico, barroco y ecléctico, me llamó la atención un magnífico edificio frente a la plaza de San Francisco de Asís. Al acercarme para saber más sobre él, me enteré de que era la Casa Estudio de la pintora venezolana Carmen Montilla Tinoco. Este edificio data del siglo XVII y sufrió los estragos de un incendio, pero fue reconstruido en 1994 y se convirtió en el hogar de la pintora hasta su muerte en 2004.
This house is located specifically in Calle de los Oficios No. 162 between Amargura and Teniente Rey, has large wooden gates, next to the entrance there is a Tarja with the name of the artist and upon entering on the right hand side there is a large photo of her where the life of the artist is detailed, she exhibited her art in multiple galleries in Europe and Latin America among her most outstanding awards are: In 1969 she won the third prize of the Venezuelan Institute of Journalism and in 1975 the Michelangelo prize at the XI Biennial of Cannes, France.
Esta casa está ubicada específicamente en la Calle de los Oficios Nº 162 entre Amargura y Teniente Rey, tiene grandes portones de madera, junto a la entrada hay una Tarja con el nombre de la artista y al entrar a mano derecha hay una gran foto de ella donde se detalla la vida de la artista, expuso su arte en múltiples galerías de Europa y Latinoamérica entre sus premios más destacados están: En 1969 ganó el tercer premio del Instituto Venezolano de Periodismo y en 1975 el premio Miguel Ángel en la XI Bienal de Cannes, Francia.

The house has a beautiful construction with wooden ceilings and corridors in the mezzanine supported by wooden columns to appreciate the works closely.

Before reaching the back patio there is a small space where there are several paintings by Cuban artists, some of them still mounted on easels, I really like to see them as they seem newly created, these paintings are very expressive. There are also some tables with painted vinyl records, I found this one very curious and original.
Antes de llegar al patio trasero hay un pequeño espacio donde hay varios cuadros de artistas cubanos, algunos de ellos todavía montados en caballetes, me gusta mucho verlos ya que parecen recién creados, estos cuadros son muy expresivos. También hay unas mesas con discos de vinilo pintados, este me pareció muy curioso y original.
At the back of the house behind a large arched trellis is an inner courtyard of singular beauty, which contains several artistic works, such as sculptures, paintings and a large ceramic mural.
The different sculptures are located among the vegetation that abounds in the courtyard, it is really very beautiful and has a lot of greenery, among the sculptures is in marble the face of the famous pianist Amadeo Mozart and next to it a great painting of great beauty that represents the colonial era.
En la parte trasera de la casa tras un gran arco enrejado se encuentra un patio interior de singular belleza, que contiene varias obras artísticas, como esculturas, pinturas y un gran mural de cerámica.
Las diferentes esculturas están ubicadas entre la vegetación que abunda en el patio, es realmente muy bello y tiene mucho verdor, entre las esculturas se encuentra en mármol el rostro del famoso pianista Amadeo Mozart y a su lado una gran pintura de gran belleza que representa la época colonial.
On the final wall of the patio, covering it completely, there is a large mural where you can appreciate the usual handling of the texture of the artist Alfredo Sosabravo, giving this place a great singularity. I had already been told that this mural was his and when I saw it I recognized his work, I have seen this style before, as I approached the mural among the mosaics his name appears along with that of his friend Rene Palenzuela, also a ceramist, so it is a joint work, I love this style, the look is lost again and again in every detail.
En la pared final del patio, cubriéndolo por completo, hay un gran mural donde se puede apreciar el acostumbrado manejo de la textura del artista Alfredo Sosabravo, dándole a este lugar una gran singularidad. Ya me habían dicho que este mural era de él y cuando lo vi reconocí su trabajo, he visto este estilo antes, al acercarme al mural entre los mosaicos aparece su nombre junto con el de su amigo René Palenzuela, también ceramista, así que es un trabajo conjunto, me encanta este estilo, la mirada se pierde una y otra vez en cada detalle.
