Quality Over Quantity Saves More: Learn From My Story 😌

The Quality, and not the longevity, of one's life is what is more paramount.❤️

I learnt from my mum when I was much younger, she said and I quote "To prize what is excellent and worth value is better than prizing for cheaper stuffs".

In those days, people were more concerned with quality than quantity and the society was much simpler than it is today.
Having more with less quality is not always better, it's often worse. It complicate life.
We tend to buy cheaper clothes, then we become dismal because of how fast it got faded and it makes the wardrobe clutter and get us confuse of what to wear.

When I was twelve years old, at school, I came up with an idea among my friends to carry out savings from the petty cash we get from our parents (pocket money) Every school days, we save hundred naira. On weekly basis, we save five hundred naira each At the end of the first month (January), each and every one of us had two thousand naira. I was so elated because that was my very first experience with savings.
We continued saving till the end of the term (April) .

Myself and my friends had eight thousand each, we all felt happy. Prior to that time, I had plans to change my wardrobe... With eight thousand naira hmmm😂.... I felt like I had the whole world😂🤣😂

I told my mum about the savings and unveiled my plans for my money. She gave me freedom to visit the closest clothes market all alone. I was really surprise😯. The first boutique I entered, I sighted an elegant red dress. I asked of how much it cost, and I was told fifteen thousand naira last. I walk to
Other boutique and realized their prices are on the high side. Instead of returning back the money home,
I quickly took a decision in getting fairly used wears. I got as much as my money could buy...they were really cheap 🥳🥳

I was so elated, couldn't wait to unleash the clothes to my mum. When she check them out, she realized most of the clothes are either faded or shrink. She was so disappointed at me, so was I to myself.

Later that day, she sat me down and told me, it could have been better I waited and get one quality dress than getting this faded stuffs.
She went further by letting me understand that poor quality stuffs fades and break down more often and wear out sooner.

Finally, Mum said Oboh, develop the habit of buying the best quality items for the money you have available. Don't think more is always better, it's a deception.
I would rather buy one good quality item she said instead of three or four mediocre or inferior ones.
I was so glad mum unveiled this secret to me. Today I choose quality as a lifestyle✌️...
