Ride with what you have

I saw some murals while we were walking towards the university campus... And if you see these images it means that I have approached them - now you see the same what I have seen. Colours always attract us, don't they?

My companions on this walk, although at first they only waited for me, also decided to come where I was. I don't know why it happens, but many times the things we spot transmit messages to us that we realize later. Maybe in life, you have to pedal, with what you have. Or sometimes you have to change the direction or the speed at what you go, but nothing stops.

The date also played the same game with us. The Fifth of March sounds like a quite normal day and nothing indicated to me that this date is a non-working day in Zaragoza. Only the closed shops when I went to get some groceries... Oh, it's a holiday.

It doesn't matter, at least I learned some details from the history of this city and discovered that even cakes in the shape of the number five can be made and sold in bakeries to commemorate this day.

Looks tasty and creamy but I didn't buy any. We were taking a little stroll between two activities in the music conservatory of this city and got a nice company with us. A fellow Hiver who guided us through the city.

I always have many questions but she (the fellow Hiver we met) seems to know the answer to the majority of them. Which street is this, or what does that monument represent, and similar...

Well, maybe it sounds like an interrogatory but that is how I also found out that this is a remaining part of one of the old gates from the defending walls of Zaragoza - Puerta del Camen.

Gran Vía Street showed several sculptures and a little photo exhibition. The music that was heard there, while we were seeing what you also see in this post was awesome. The two guitar players performed "Entre dos Aguas" by Paco de Lucia. 🎶

"Ya lo vi" - it means I already saw it. This is the exhibition I mentioned, photos taken by photojournalists of Aragon during the last year. In this text, there is one part that says that there are many ways of feeling and paying attention to tell what is happening around us.

Oh, I mentioned that nothing stops... so time doesn't stop either. We headed back and passed again by the university campus which was a good idea as I could appreciate the place once again. The entrance looked more gorgeous when the sky already become darker.

That is how I saw it, nicer with the blue background, however the same place could be shown in a completely different way, from another angle or through brighter colours.

The same could be applied to the buildings of the University of Education or Philosophy. For me, they stood out more beautifully against the dark blue sky.

The sign was clear!! It was time to return to a concert and leave behind the pedaling and walking activities - although this post is coming to the Wednesday Walk community!
