Today I want to show through a tutorial how to make a cute crochet project (amigurumi) of Chirpily, a holozing character.
I made Chirpily in bright colors, it really was very cute, let's go to the materials for the realization of this project.
Materials needed to make the chirpily amigurumi are as follows:
- Colored knitting yarns: light green, dark green, yellow and red.
- Number 3 knitting needle.
- Wool needle.
- Piece of cotton.
- Key ring.
- Eyes in medium black beads.
- Liquid silicone.
Making the amigurumi of Chirpily:
- We take the light green yarn and the needle to start knitting the head , we make a magic ring and inside the ring we put 6 low stitches ,to know how many stitches it takes, we must place a pin , after we have made the 6 low stitches , we close and tighten the ring, now for the second round, we `double stitch in each stitch, for a total of 12 .
- For the third row, we do the sequence: one single crochet and one double crochet, until we reach the end of the row.
- From row 4 to row 6, we knit 18 single crochet stitches, for row 7, we knit 5 single crochets, 4 decreases, five single crochets and finish the row with this sequence (14 single crochets).
- Row 8, we continue with 14 single crochet stitches.
- Row 9: one single crochet and one double crochet, for a total of 21 stitches.
- Row 10: 6 single crochet and a double crochet for a total of 24 stitches.
- From row 11 to row 19, we will cast on 24 single crochet stitches.
- Row 20: two single crochet and one decrease for a total of 18 single crochet stitches.
- For row 21 : 1 single crochet and a decrease, for a total of 12 single crochets.
The head and body of Chirpily are ready, now we put in the stuffing and knit in decreasing stitches until the hole is closed.
To make the wings, we take the green yarn, make a magic ring and knit 6 single crochet stitches, then we make double stitches in each stitch, for a total of 12 stitches.
We pick up a chain of 9 stitches, then we leave a stitch at the end of the 9 stitches, we knit two single crochets, two medium high stitches, two high stitches and two super high stitches.
At the end we knit one stitch and join leaving 4 stitches on one side, make a slip stitch.we knit all around the wing.
We must make two wings.
To make the tail: We take the red yarn, we knit 10 chains, in row 2 we skip the first chain and knit a single crochet.
For the third row, we knit 9 single crochet stitches, taking the yarn from the front.
For the fourth row, we knit two chains, skip the first chain, we knit 10 single crochet stitches, taking the yarn from the back, we add one chain.
Fifth row: leave one chain and knit 9 by picking up the front yarn.
- To make the beak : we take the yellow yarn, we make a magic ring, we put in 6 low stitches, we cut the excess yarn, circular part.
- The other part of the beak. we make two chains , we knit a low stitch skipping the chain, turn, add a chain , then in the low stitch knit a double, turn , now we make two doubles, two stitches in the first stitch and two stitches in the second stitch. It should be a small triangle. Top of the beak
- To make the legs: We knit 4 chains and return.
- We knit 4 chains and back we skip the first chain, we make three slipped stitches, this would be the first toe, we would do the same until we reach the three toes.in this way we make the other leg.
- We have everything ready to assemble the amigurumi of Chirpily, with the wool needle we sew the wings of the body, legs and tail, the eyes are glued on a piece of white thread, then add silicone and put it on each side of the head.
- To place the keychain we knit low stitches and in this way is Chirpily.hope you like it.
