A few weeks ago, I wanted to buy groundnut oil so I could fry some yam, on reaching the shop, I stood like I was hopeless just because the price had increased . So what now? I will not eat fried yam again because the oil has added price. I thought within myself
"By the way, who told me it's only groundnut oil I can use to fry yam?" I stood at the shop for some minutes talking to myself, Let me buy palm oil and, go because the price was lesser. I finally decided. And to be frank with you, that was how I cut ties with groundout oil 😂 no matter what I wanted to cook in my house, I use palm oil.
Apart from this, there are so many expenditures in my life that I can reduce especially now that the economy in the country is something else. I am someone that even before the economy got to this level, I always minimize. Now as it is, cutting down some of the expenditures is the only way out. I found myself moving from buying the bigger size of detergent to the smaller size. If not that, detergent is something we need to keep clean, I would have cut off from it completely.
Another one is indomie noodles, I can't remember the last time I ate it since the economy crisis started 😂 I mean, reducing it is an understatement, I have cut off from it completely but before then, I used to eat it every day, like every day. Something like food stuff, if only there was a way to reduce this expenditure in my life, I would gladly do it but reducing it means I am dead or otherwise.
Hehe! How on earth am I forgetting this one expenditure that gives me a hard time reducing from my life? "Data Subscription" Yeah, I know data is life in today's world and cutting off from it means I am dead. I can't even reduce it either, What do I do then? I had to cut limit of some of the apps I used. Restricting background data doesn't work for me I don't know why, so the best way is for me to stop using most of the apps. I could say, staying off social media will help save my data too but as a social media manager, that's impossible. I must show off on social media either on my page or on a client's page. And if I say I will reduce the amount I sub for a month which is 5k approximately 5$ now, it won't reach me up to two weeks. So I had rather put some apps out of bound.
The most important thing is for one to understand your income and list the things that are more important so you can spend on because you cannot have everything, you cannot spend on everything.
