Christmas day was spent at home with my family. I think I actually made a post here on that day because it was my mom's birthday. I have been away from hive for a while , but that day 25th of December was significant for me because it was my mom's birthday.

At exactly 12am that day I was with my mom in the kitchen while she was busy preparing the Christmas meal ahead of time , according to her she didn't want to spend so much time in the kitchen because it was her birthday and as I was in the kitchen with her, my younger sister and my cousin came into the kitchen to sing her a happy birthday, like my mom wasn't even expecting it , she was just smiling, and i joined in the song, as it is our tradition in our house , we always poured water on people in their birthday, i decided to do the honours ,i fetched water in a cup and sprinkled it on her and said a word of prayer for her
But wait, there's more! I had this surprise planned I had arranged for our friend who's a makeup artist to come over and give my mom the full glam treatment. Seeing her get all dolled up for a photo shoot?it was pure joy. Hehe. She was absolutely glowing the entire day, and honestly, seeing her that happy made my heart so full.
And because of her early preparations, we actually ate very early , imagine eating Christmas food as early as 7am, hehe, let me just tell you , I ate till my full that day, and as I ate I was just happy I could do one thing for her which was the makeup and pictures she took, well , pictures are yet to be out because its festive period , so we couldn't get the photographer to send the pictures.
I was indoors throughout the whole day, yes I slept at one point because I was tired and I was so filled. The day just kept getting better. After absolutely stuffing myself (no regrets!), I definitely needed a nap. But here's the thing about my family - quiet moments don't last too long, I was eventually awakened by music blasting from my brother-in-law's Bluetooth speaker. And what do you do when good music is playing? join the party, of course.
The evening turned into this impromptu dance party at home. My younger sister, being the TikTok enthusiast she is, made sure to capture all our dance moves. You know those moments when everyone just lets loose and has fun? That was us this day
Well Christmas was fun filled because it was spent with family and family means everything to me, the night ended with more food and drinks ,there's actually something magical about celebrations that bring family together, isn't there? When your mom's birthday falls on Christmas Day, it's like the universe is giving you two reasons to make the day extra special. From those early morning kitchen moments to the late night festivities, every minute was filled with laughter, love, and the kind of happiness that only comes from being with your favorite people in the world.
I and my younger sisters slept outside that night with her friends enjoying the cool air and music coming from the street.
Christmas was wonderful, with most of the day captured in videos, making it a truly memorable occasion for my family and me.
