Christmas is coming and I am not surprised that my daughter was required to make a Christmas ornament for school. @eylii said that their art teacher required them to make whatever you call what she made.
As far as I could recall, my daughter asked me for some money to buy Christmas garland and hot glue on the store. She said that her teacher showed them a video of how to make their project and it's up to them to choose items that will make it Christmassy and lively. The video was only thier reference of their project and they don't have to copy what was done in there
I was still at work at that time and she said they are going to pass it to the teacher the next day and whoever has the most beautiful decor will be hanged in their classroom. Only a few chosen will be used as a decor since thier classroom holds two shifts of class; the first one is from 6am to 12 noon where my daughter belonged and the second is from 12 noon to 6pm where she soon will be since half of rhe sxhool year was done already.
Good thing my husband leaves coins at home and that is what I gave her for her project. I'm glad that there is a store neae our house that sells assorted goods and she didn't need to cross the road to get there.
The highlight of her decor is the cute ducky on top! She took it from my sister's trendy duck clip that got broken and upcycled it to something very nice.
For the base of the structure, she cut eggtrays to form a star and glued them together Then she glued the garland and Christmas balls in her project. I'm not sure how she did it but she's got a wide imagination of things and creative hand that made her able to do it even without any supervision. I am constantly encouraging her to do hive, but she was still in the stage of limited gadget use and she only uses basic phone at school only to use when she and her sister needed to cross the highway where we neede my sister's help in assisting them every tim they go home. A few more of the reasons she still cannot have smart phone is that she still has to improve her school grades, and focus in her lessons and she still need to manage her time wisely because whenever she is at home and there is phone, she could and she had spent a few hours starting at it looking at things that won't help improve her life.
When I arrived home in the evening, she showed me her project and I am very happy she was able to make it! I am so proud of her and her work yet my sister was schocked to see her duck o my daughter's project! She got mad of course but also calmed herself down when she learnt that it was her school project
