Hello everyone, The year is ending, and I thought at this moment I would love to share my thoughts regarding the cryptocurrency market going into 2025. Mostly I would try to go through my thoughts regarding where the market may land in the next year and what things can manipulate the market. These are not only my thoughts but also they are my expectations and I speak about them based on actual news and some of them are just my gut talking.
If you are connected to the crypto world long enough, then you might know that every 4 or so years the market faces a massive bull run and is followed by a bear market. The last time we had that was in late 2021 and 2022. This time it has been roughly 3 years since 2021. So I think that the current rally will continue into next year. And if there is no unforeseen anomaly, I believe that the market will hold its bullish momentum at least until the tail end of 2025. And a bear market may follow sooner after. But at the same time, cryptocurrency and Bitcoin in particular is facing new challenges than ever. Cryptocurrency is now under contention of being introduced into the world of regulated finance instead of what we know as decentralized finance. Many countries around the world have accepted or are planning to accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or other stable coins as modes of payment. I also made a post recently regarding the USA wanting to buy bitcoins for a strategic reserve. So as more and more the legal issues bind Bitcoin, the waters can become trickier. This whole thing can land either way. Bitcoin could reach ultimately dizzying highs or it can be the beginning of the end. We have seen Russia and Iran dealing in bitcoins as of now, but the whole thing will pick up pace when a big and unsanctioned economy does the same with Bitcoin. And then there comes spot ETFs. ETFs of different coins also can be considered as an anomaly in the crypto space. We have seen xrp and Sol already pumped last month, in the wake of rumors regarding their spot ETF requests filings. Which are actually filed as of now. Just awaiting approval. And then there are the industry players. These big companies are buying up bitcoins and under prominent tokens to cater their own needs. But while doing so, they are becoming bigger and a smaller number of whales in a particular market, causing the market to be manipulated by a select few. So these are strictly against what cryptocurrency stands for.
A lot of things can happen in 2025, and I'm not actually done talking about it. I'm willing to do a part 2 of this post. I'm also looking forward to you guys sharing your thoughts in the comments and maybe share some insights on what is in store next for us.
