Saludos Comunidad de #TheAnimeRealm. El día 17 de este mes se estrenó en Netflix esta peculiar e interesante serie por parte del equipo de CLAMP. La verdad es que me enteré de su próximo estreno hace ya una semana y pues estaba ansiosa de verla para traerles mi opinión de tan esperada adaptación. Hoy vengo a hablarles de Las Variaciones Grimm.

Origen

  En primera instancia debo decir que me pareció una Obra de Arte Majestuosa donde los diseños, dibujos, pinturas y personajes estuvieron colmados de elegancia y sobre todo una originalidad digna del equipo de desarrollo de CLAMP.

  Si eres fan de este equipo de trabajo y conoces otras series desarrolladas por ellos, sabrás que tienen uno que otro toque oscuro (como xxxHOLiC) o historias exageradamente tiernas como Sakura Card Captors, Kobato, entre otras; sabrás a qué me refiero.

  Lo primero que me cautivó fue el diseño de sus personajes y pues como lo dice su título, esta serie viene a ser una adaptación con grandes modificaciones de los clásicos cuentos de hadas contados alguna vez por los hermanos Grimm.

  Esta adaptación definitivamente no es para niños, es total y exclusivamente para adultos ya que aunque tiene dibujos hermosos, contiene escenas de violencia gráfica y escenas de sexo. Además que la trama en si se enfoca más a temas psicológicos y profundos.

  Y pues, como ya comenté anteriormente, la serie muestra versiones alternativas basadas en los cuentos de los hermanos Grimm, tales como La Cenicienta, Caperucita Roja, Hansel y Gretel, Los duendecillos y el zapatero, Los Músicos de Bremen y El Flautista de Hamelin.

  Pero ¿qué tienen de especial estas adaptaciones de los hermanos Grimm por parte CLAMP? Pues no es sólamente CLAMP quien trabajó en ellos sino también Wit Studio, equipo de trabajo conocido por desarrollar y diseñar historias como Ataque de Titanes y Spy x Family.

  Si conocen el estilo de Wit Studio entonces ya pueden darse una idea de lo Gore que puede llegar a ser la serie en algunos capítulos. Esto al principio para mi fue algo confuso porque de verdad esperaba ver algo más "clásico" al estilo de los Grimm pero versión animé.

  Créanme que si esperan ver algo así de lindo como aquellos entretenidos cuentos de hadas para niños, están muy equivocados. Se llevarán varias sorpresas, incluso por parte de CLAMP, equipo de trabajo que se caracteriza por "interconectar" sus universos y personajes de otras series.

  Yo reconocí de inmediato a mi personaje favorito de CLAMP, no diré quien y pues tal vez vean más de un personaje del universo de este equipo de trabajo, yo identifiqué a dos, tal vez ustedes noten más o incluso hayen un parecido en el diseño de los dibujos con películas muy famosas de este estilo.

  La verdad es que me remontó a buenos momentos de mi infancia, me agradaron cómo contaron las historias en general, de forma tan diferente y original, dándole un giro completo a la trama, donde la protagonista no es lo que dice ser y Caperucita Roja esconde un secreto muy oscuro que nunca me lo llegué a imaginar.

  De todas las historias planteadas bajo este estilo, la que más me gustó de todas fue la versión de Hansel y Gretel, pero también destacan El Flautista de Hamelin y Los Músicos de Bremen por mucho. Además de plasmar a los propios hermanos Grimm con tanto diseño artístico, es lo que más me gustó de toda la serie.

  Yo insisto, el hecho de que Wit Studio y CLAMP unieran fuerzas para elaborar tan majestuoso trabajo visual y estético, de mi parte se ganó sus 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 de 5 Estrellitas Doradas y recomiendo que la vean lo antes posible porque es realmente buena y lo mejor de todo, diferente.

The truth is that I found out about its upcoming premiere a week ago and I was eager to see it to bring you my opinion of such a long-awaited adaptation. Today I'm here to tell you about The Grimm Variations.

  In the first instance I must say that I found it to be a Majestic Work of Art where the designs, drawings, paintings, and characters were filled with elegance and above all an originality worthy of the CLAMP development team.

  If you are a fan of this work team and you know other series developed by them, you will see that they have one or another dark touch (like xxxHOLiC) or exaggeratedly tender stories like Sakura Card Captors, Kobato, among others; you will know what I mean.

  The first thing that captivated me was the design of the characters and as the title says, this series is an adaptation with great modifications of the classic fairy tales once told by the Brothers Grimm.

  This adaptation is not for children, it is totally and exclusively for adults because although it has beautiful drawings, it contains scenes of graphic violence and sex scenes. In addition, the plot itself focuses more on psychological and deep themes.

  If you are familiar with the Wit Studio style then you can already get an idea of how gory the series can be in some chapters. Initially, this was a little confusing because I was expecting to see something more "classic" Grimm style but an anime version.

  Believe me, if you are expecting to see something as cute as those entertaining fairy tales for children, you are very wrong. You will be in for some surprises, even from CLAMP, a team that is known for "interconnecting" their universes and characters from other series.

  I immediately recognized my favorite character from CLAMP, I won't say who and maybe you will see more than one character from the universe of this work team, I identified two, so maybe you will notice more or even see a resemblance in the design of the drawings with very famous movies of this style.

  The truth is that it took me back to good times of my childhood, I liked how they told the stories in general, in such a different and original way, giving a complete twist to the plot, where the protagonist is not what she says she is and Red Riding Hood hides a very dark secret that I never imagined.

  Of all the stories presented in this style, the one I liked best of all was the version of Hansel and Gretel, but The Pied Piper of Hamelin and The Musicians of Bremen also stand out by far. Besides capturing the Brothers Grimm themselves with so much art design, it's what I liked the most about the whole series.

  I insist, that the fact that Wit Studio and CLAMP joined forces to produce such a majestic visual and aesthetic work, from my side, earned their 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 of 5 Little Golden Stars and I recommend that you see it as soon as possible because it is good and best of all, different.
