Welcome to another week of the Splinterlands Art Contest. Every week, I draw Splinterlands characters in my own version.
The character I chose to draw and submit for this week is none other than the crowd favorite, Djinn Oshannus.

Who wouldn’t have a favorite among this Legendary Water Element with extraordinary speed and magical attacks?
So what did I do first to draw this character?
First, I sketched a masculine-looking man with a beard and mustache. I made him look somewhat like Neptune because I visualized Djinn Oshannus as Neptune.
I added waves beneath him to make it look like he emerged from the water.
Once I completed the sketch, I started coloring.
I kept the coloring for Djinn Oshannus simple, shading the base colors of his parts with darker shades and highlighting with lighter shades based on his main color.
I added bubbles in both hands as if they were magic attack balls.
After coloring the character, I worked on the background.
Since he’s a water element, I assumed he’s in the sea, and while he’s raging, there are lightning clouds surrounding him, emitting sharp lightning.
I colored the background the same way I colored Djinn Oshannus, just shading with light and dark based on the original color.
So, this is my final artwork, and I hope you liked it.
