Hey everybody! Hope your having a great day. I recently got to try out the upcoming Moon Karts game being built as the flagship game for the new Arcade Colony(AC) web3 gaming platform.
My first impression of the game is quite favorable. It's fast paced, intuitive, and FUN!
To start off you're going to want to customize your kart. Nearly everything is customizable, driver, tires, wheels, engine, exhaust, etc. etc. The cool thing about these options is they're not just for looks, every choice you make has an effect on your kart's attributes. Max attainable speed, Acceleration, Handling, and Health. That's right, health, you can take damage as you race from opponents' power-ups or just your terrible driving.(ok, my terrible driving) 😉
If you win, you can earn cards that have boosts for even more customization of your kart. There are also coins along the track to collect. If you can place in a top position you get to keep the coins. However, other racers have power-ups like missiles and lightning bolts that if they make contact with your Kart, will cause you to drop any coins you've collected.
Of course you can also load your own Kart with those same power-ups, so you don't have to go down without a fight!
