The quality of life of a nation or area can actually be determined by the amount of energy consumed in that nation or area; this simply means that the amount of power supplied to an area can be used to determine the quality of life of the people living in that particular area, and if the power supplied is little or unstable, we can say that the quality of life of the people living within that area is poor. Power supply is one key factor to look out for when looking for a place to live in or settle in; settling or moving into an apartment with no power supply can only end in regrets, and there are no two ways about it.
The amount of power supplied to the apartment or area you live in determines how comfortable you are in that area. Trust me, power supply is a comfort determining factor, and when there is little or no power supply, there will be inconveniences and a lot of discomfort, which can only be avoided if you don't move into an apartment with little or no power supply at all.
All my life I never believed there are actually areas or apartments with zero power supply, like from age to age there is no power supply at all; it is either you use your generator to generate the power you need or you stay in the dark and lack the basic amenities that come with power supply. In 2023 I visited an uncle during the Easter period only to find out they live in an area where their only source of power supply is the generator they have. He said since they moved in and for the past 3 years there has been nothing like a power supply and they have to fuel their generator almost every day in order to power everything that needs to be powered, and any day they fail to fuel their generator, it simply means there won't be any form of power supply that day.
Considering the cost of fuel, you do not expect him to spend money on fuel every day; the days where we go a day or two without turning the generator on are always hell for me because I have to look for alternatives if I also cannot afford to buy fuel at that moment. I am not going to lie; I did not enjoy the holiday I went there for, and for that reason, I left before time.
I have always lived in areas without constant power supply, and I complain and lament, but living in an area where there is no power supply at all almost took my sanity away because of how much I need power supply to power my gadgets and stay online since almost all my activities revolve around the internet, and without power supply, there will be hindrances. My current area has an unstable power supply, and their style of power supply is unpredictable. This week there will be light every midnight, and then the following week there is only light in the morning, and then they abandon us at midnight, which is when we need it the most considering the weather.
