Black chickpeas, also known as red chickpeas or Bengal gram, are a good source of protein, iron, and fiber. They can be enjoyed with roti, paratha, or rice based on personal preference. This is a simple recipe, but it tastes really good.
So, let's learn how to make it. To make this, you'll need the following ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of black chickpeas
- 2 onions
- Garlic
- Green chilies
Masala:
- Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder
- Garam masala
Method
Before making it, soak the chana for about 6-7 hours.
Then, put it in a cooker and boil it for about 3-4 whistles.
Now, finely chop onions, garlic, and chili.
Next, take a pan, heat oil in it.
Then, temper it with cumin seeds until they crackle.
After that, add onions and fry until golden brown.
Now, add the soaked chana along with all the spices and cover it for two minutes so that salt and spices mix well.
Then, garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it to everyone, including yourself.
