Hello Collectors friends, I hope your week is going great; it is a pleasure to be with you again to join the initiative of the month that deals with puzzles and jigsaw proposed by my dear @mipiano. Beforehand I tell you that I do not own much this time, what you will see below are a couple of acquisitions from last year and the rest come with me for years since I use them for various purposes, you will understand me better 😅
Jigsaw and puzzles, are activities that have both fun and didactic purposes and are used in contexts of leisure time, contests, educational, clinical, among others. In jigsaws and puzzles, brain activity and mental functions are highly stimulated; in the case of jigsaw, the stimulation of visual-motor coordination, the process of logical thinking, visual-spatial awareness, intelligence, and working or immediate memory, mainly, is sought. Puzzles tend to take these variables a little further, through creativity, imagination and reasoning, giving a little more complexity to the way they are solved. There are puzzles that also fall into the jigsaw category, and in turn, both jigsaw and puzzles are considered board games.
After the aforementioned, let's move on to the action and see together this small collection:
Hola amigos Collectors, espero que vuestra semana vaya genial; es un placer estar nuevamente con ustedes para unirme a la iniciativa del mes que trata sobre los rompecabezas y puzzles propuesta por mi querida @mipiano. De antemano les digo que no poseo mucho en esta oportunidad, lo que verán a continuación son un par de adquisiciones del año pasado y el resto si vienen conmigo desde hace años ya que los utilizo para diversos propósitos, ya me entenderán mejor 😅
Los rompecabezas y puzzles, son actividades que tienen tanto fines de diversión, como didácticos y se utilizan en contextos de tiempo libre, concursos, educativos, clínicos, entre otros. En los rompecabezas y puzzles, se estimula mucho la actividad cerebral y las funciones mentales; en el caso de los rompecabezas, se busca la estimulación de la coordinación viso-motriz, el proceso del pensamiento lógico, la consciencia viso-espacial, la inteligencia, y la memoria de trabajo o inmediata, principalmente. Los Puzzles tienden a llevar estas variables un poco más lejos, mediante la creatividad, la imaginación y el raciocinio, dando un poco más de complejidad a su forma de resolver. Hay puzzles que también entran en la categoría de rompecabezas y a su vez, tanto como los rompecabezas, como los puzzles, son considerados juegos de mesa.
Luego de lo mencionado anteriormente, pasemos a la acción y veamos juntos esta pequeña colección:
I bought this 1000 pieces puzzle at the beginning of last year to put it together with my nephew, but both he and I don't have much patience for this kind of activities hahaha. As you can see it is from the Transformers movie saga; the image to assemble consists of two figures, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee and if you notice at least we separated in bags the structure of the final image, based on the colors and the edges in the case of the pieces that make up the margin. In the last image you can see me holding one of these pieces that are really small... we just need the push to continue the journey, but guess what, we lost the sheet that brings the complete image to see it better, we have to continue looking at the container of the pieces 🙃... will we make it?
Este rompecabezas de 1000 piezas lo compré a comienzos del año pasado para armarlo con mi sobrino, pero tanto él como yo no tenemos mucha paciencia para este tipo de actividades jajaja. Como verán es de la saga de las películas de Transformers; la imagen a armar consta de dos figuras, la de Optimus Prime y Bumblebee y si se dan cuenta al menos separamos en bolsas la estructura de la imagen final, basándonos en los colores y las orillas en el caso de las piezas que conforman el margen. En la última imagen me pueden ver sosteniendo una de estas piezas que son realmente pequeñas... solo nos falta el empujón para seguir la travesía, pero adivinen qué?, perdimos la hoja que trae la imagen completa para verla mejor, nos toca continuar viendo el contenedor de las fichas 🙃... será que lo lograremos?
This Lego imitation, I also bought it at the beginning of last year on an outing with my nephew and we were very impressed by the size of the box as it is almost the size of an executive briefcase and we decided to give it a try after the previous failed attempt. It is a Spiderman and Venom robot that in turn brings some small figures of these characters to place inside the robot.
Esta imitación de Lego, la compré también a inicios del año pasado en una salida con mi sobrino y nos llamó mucho la atención el tamaño de la caja ya que es casi del tamaño de un maletín ejecutivo y decidimos darle una oportunidad luego del intento fallido anterior. Es un robot de Spiderman y Venom que a su vez trae unas pequeñas figuras de estos personajes para colocarlas dentro del robot.
This toy consists of 816 pieces, comes with a manual in English and Chinese (I hope I'm not wrong, because I have doubts). Additionally it comes with a sheet of stickers that complement the image of the robot. I hope this is not another failed attempt, because as you can see in the last image, we only built the trunk of the robot hahaha... but let's see the positive side, at least it was started too 😁.
Este juguete consta de 816 piezas, trae su manual en inglés y en chino (espero no equivocarme, porque tengo la duda). Adicionalmente trae una hoja de pegatinas que complementan la imagen del robot. Espero que esto no quede en otro fallido intento, porque como ven en la última imagen, solo construimos el tronco del robot jajaja.. pero veamos el lado positivo, al menos se inició también 😁.
Here we enter a vintage but still valid terrain; Tangoes is a game that still exists and that is simply great. I don't have exact information about the year of this game, but it is with me since the early 90's approximately, as it was a gift from my godfather. The only thing I know is that at present there are much more modern versions in terms of presentation and that they are manufactured by the American company Rex Games Inc. based on traditional Chinese games.
Aquí nos adentramos en un terreno vintage pero que sigue vigente; el Tangoes es un juego que todavía existe y que es sencillamente genial. No poseo información exacta del año de este ejemplar, pero está conmigo dese inicios de los años 90 aproximadamente, ya que fue un regalo de mi padrino. Lo único que sé es que en el presente hay versiones mucho más modernas en cuanto a presentación se refiere y que son fabricados por la empresa estadounidense Rex Games Inc. basados en juegos tradicionales chinos.
This game comes with 80 cards with somewhat abstract images of different figures in black and 14 wooden pieces, 7 of which are for one player and the other 7 for another player. Se puede jugar de forma individual si se quiere y en el caso de jugar con alguien más se le puede agregar el incentivo del tiempo para ver quien culmina más rápido las figuras. Como pueden apreciar en una de las fotos, las cartas vienen clasificadas por números como nivel de dificultad.

Con esas 7 piezas de la izquierda se deben armar todas las figuras de las cartas; a la derecha les hice la demostración de una de las más sencillas y no, no hice trampa jeje, ya he armado estas figuras cientos de veces porque este juego siempre me ha gustado. Este juego me ha servido en el ejercicio de la psicología como disociador de estrés y también para evaluar a mis pacientes y detectar posibles alteraciones senso-perceptuales e indicios de algún daño neurológico o cerebral y créanme, me ha funcionado muy bien.
I think this puzzle is very cool because it is based on building figures with pieces in the Tetris style. From this cube 7 pieces are detached to build more than 100 figures and I think the game is great because at first sight it looks like a Rubik's cube, but it is just a visual attraction to sell it better. As you can see its colors are striking and each piece is magnetized to better adhere to the others.
Este puzzle me parece muy genial ya que se basa en armar figuras con piezas al estilo Tetris. De ese cubo se desprenden 7 piezas para armar más de 100 figuras y me parece grandioso el juego porque a 1era vista parece un cubo de Rubik, pero es solo un atractivo visual para venderlo mejor. Como pueden ver sus colores son llamativos y cada pieza es imantada para adherirse mejor a las otras.
The 7 magnetic pieces come with 54 cards that have images on the front and back (108 in total) and as in the case of Tangoes, they come by level of difficulty. The difference with the previous game is that here the solution of the figure does not appear, but the pieces you need to assemble it.

The famous Rubik's cube... this innovative puzzle is legendary, but I personally don't like it much hahaha, I have only solved it 2 times and for the purposes of this post, I solved it quickly using a mathematical formula that I got in a Tiktok video. It has been with me for a couple of years.

This game does not fall into the category of puzzles but I wanted to show it to you because of how amazing it is and since it is the only one I own of this type. I saw this toy or device at a garage sale and did not hesitate to buy it; it is shaped like a star or a flower, whichever way you prefer to look at it and helps stimulate visual and auditory memory. Its objective is to memorize the sequence in which the lights turn on taking into account that each one produces a different sound and then press each color to complete the solution. It has 3 different levels and only one failed attempt, so the idea is to be very concentrated. I have used it for psychological evaluations of children and adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and with patients who just need to improve their concentration and memory.
Este juego no entra en la categoría de rompecabezas/puzzles pero quise mostrárselos por lo increíble que es y ya que es el único que poseo de este tipo. Este juguete o dispositivo lo vi en una venta de garaje y no dude en comprarlo; tiene forma de estrella o de flor, como prefieras verlo y ayuda a estimular la memoria visual y auditiva. Su objetivo es memorizar la secuencia en que prenden las luces teniendo en cuenta que cada una produce un sonido distinto y luego presionar cada color para culminar la solución. Tiene 3 niveles distintos y un solo intento fallido, así que la idea es estar muy concentrado. Lo he utilizado para evaluaciones psicológicas a niños y adolescentes con trastorno de déficit de atención e hiperactividad y con pacientes que solo necesitan mejorar su concentración y memoria.
