Bathing the Buddha

Good morning. On Wesak day, I visited several temples to bathe the Buddha. There is a Nepalese temple near my house. This was the first time that I bathed the Buddha. I've never done it before. Was a great experience.

We bathe the Buddha to commemorate the Buddha’s birth and express our gratitude to the Buddha—lots of flowers. Usually, we can scoop some of the water and bring it back and take some to bathe for good luck and purification of any sins. There two important dates every month to visit the lunar calendar that is important. The 1st and 15th day of the lunar calendar.

One of the volunteers helped to take care of this area to meet the worshippers.

The tree with a lot of blessings. Each piece of cloth is written prayers on Nepalese chants.

My wife bathing the Buddha. Scoop some water with the pour from the shoulders of the Buddha figure.

    More showering for the Buddha.

Then, I headed up to the second floor. The Nepalese monk was here to celebrate Wesak Day. He speaks fluent Mandarin. Master Mukhya.

The little one from New Zealand. He flew from New Zealand. One of the caretaker's relatives. I went to the monk's room with my wife to get some blessings.

A lot of huge joss sticks burning.

Wish you a great Monday. It is almost the mid of the year.

Thank you very much for reading this post. Have a great day.
