Greetings, folks. Today, I'm here to share a new Rada Quest Fanart with you all. This time I decided to draw Serel, The Eye-Opener. I chose to draw her partly because of the new aspects, items, and characteristics she has. I think I did an okay-ish job of portraying her, but let's just jump right into the process to see about that...
The Process
Placeholder Background
Usually in my paintings, I choose a background color and paint the background flat with that color or use a gradient mid-way through. This time, however, I wasn't content which color would feel better on her so I went with pitch black which had to be changed at a later stage.
Raining Gold
I also tried to add a gold-raining effect to portray her greed and love for worldly material - you know, all those fortune tellers are greedy folks, or are at the very least portrayed that way in movies.
The Result
In the end, I finally touched up the background by adding some flares and a little color here and there to escape the previous pitch-black background. I also tossed a few coins to our wit-FORTUNE TELLER, and last but not the least drew some magic effects around her, which in conjunction with her white eyes gives off the feeling that she's actively using her skill in the picture.
