Hello DIYers! I wanted to take the opportunity to speak on a DIY project I have done many times in the past.
What you will need:
2x 16 foot 2x4
2x 8 foot 2x4
2x 4 foot 4x4
10x 4 inch nails
10x bag of horse manure
In order to keep your plants from pests including bugs that will ravage sweet crops, you need to build raised beds. Raised beds are the gold standard for making sure you maximize crops in a small area, and are ideal for use in suburban areas. This can help you maximize yield in a small areas like a backyard.
This is a basic way to create a raised bed.
- put the 16 foot 2x4s parallel to each other.
- put the 8 foot 2x4s at the edge of each 16 foot 2x4 so it makes a box.
- cut the 4x4 into 4 sections and place them at the edges of the 2x4 box.
- nail the 2x4s into the 4x4s from the outside.
- add the maneur.
This is the easiest way to build a raised bed. The bed will be four inches high, and if you want to make it deeper, stack a 2x4 onto the edge top of each existing 2x4.
