Bonding Among the Enchantment: Exploring Dalaguete's Enchanted Mountain with Friends

Hello, dear readers! It's me again, with a question for you: Have you ever made plans with friends, like going to the day at the beach, taking a road trip, or simply bonding together, only to find those plans didn't happen? Today, I'm excited to share with you my pre-Christmas experience of visiting the stunning Enchanted Mountain in Dalaguete, Cebu with my friends.

A week ago, my friends messaged me about going on a long ride, and we began to plan where to go. When I suggested the Enchanted Mountain, we both agreed. On the day we planned to meet, early in the morning around 8 am, we met at our starting place in Carcar. Before heading to the Enchanted Mountain, we stopped by Sibonga, taking pictures and chatting about our next destination.

We arrived at Argao and stopped by St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church to take a photo. The church is beautiful, and the surroundings are clean. We captured a photo of their Christmas tree, symbolizing their delicacy, the Torta.

The Torta in Argao is delicious, and its story originates from the Spanish Colonial period. It was created when contractors used egg whites to cement coral stones together for building construction. The Argaoranons didn't want to waste the egg yolks, so they came up with the idea of creating a delicacy using them, and thus, the Torta was invented. After that, we started to move to our main destination, which was the Enchanted Mountain. Before going to that place, we had a snack. While driving, I stopped and asked my friends if they knew the way to the Enchanted Mountain. They said they didn't know, so I smiled because I also didn't know. The only solution was to use Google Maps.

Upon driving and trusting Google Maps, we arrived at Enchanted Mountain and parked our vehicle at the front entrance gate. If you're planning to visit Enchanted Mountain, you don’t need to worry because there is a parking attendant to keep your vehicle safe. Upon walking to the entrance, we asked the guard, and he informed us that before they allowed us to take pictures inside, we needed to register first and pay the entrance fee. They also asked us what type of visit we preferred, whether it was for taking pictures only or the package that included access to the pool for swimming. We opted for taking pictures only because we were not prepared for the pool.

I’m not good at posing, so I use a peace sign every time I take a picture, and it has become a habit for me. I hope someday I will get better at it. The name "Enchanted" fits perfectly with what you can see inside the place. I am so grateful that I managed to visit this place and thankful to my friends.

The rooms in each resort have a unique design, and you can feel the enchanted atmosphere. While taking pictures, I find myself using the peace sign again. Why am I addicted to it? It makes me laugh right now as I write this blog. Besides the peace sign pose, I also have the handsome pose.

While walking to another place, I found this spot that seemed like the perfect spot to sit. I took another picture here before moving forward, and my friends also wanted to take a picture like mine. Next, I stood against the wall, trying a new pose, and I was really shy during the pictures. It took us ten tries before we got this shot, but for me, it's the one I'm content with.

Walking around the resort, we found that the entrance fee we paid was so worth it because we took a lot of pictures. As we walked up the stairs, we saw the Giant one moving forward. The resort also had a hanging bridge, but we didn't get a picture of it because the bridge was so shaky. We couldn't stand properly, and we had to hold onto the rope when crossing it. Feeling hungry, we decided to eat lunch. Since we didn't bring any food, we left the resort to find a place to eat.

Having moments like visiting a place is an achievement for me. Traveling with friends is so much fun; it can strengthen bonds, and the memories you create become cherished. If you have true friends like mine, don’t betray them; be thankful and treasure them because they are part of your life. We know we will eventually go our separate ways due to responsibilities, but the bond that is created between them will bring back memories. Find a friend who understands you and is always there for you during times of trouble. If you have free time, try to invite them to eat in restaurants, enjoy street food, or go anywhere you both feel comfortable. Lastly, love them as true friends.
