Descent and hiking experience in caves - In Margarita Island.⛰️❤️ [ENG/ESP]

Hiking, exploring, and adventure to collect memories is my life goal. For several years I always lived with the idea that I would like to do such and such a thing, until there came a time when I said, Why do I have to wait? The moment is now. Now I can. Since that moment I have developed more interest, passion and desire to live new experiences.
On this occasion I had the courage to go hiking and descend into super-forgotten caves, something that had not even crossed my mind.

Hacer senderismo, la exploración, y la aventura para coleccionar recuerdos es mi objetivo de vida. Desde hace varios años siempre vivía con la idea de yo quisiera hacer tal cosa, hasta que llegó un momento en el que dije ¿Por qué tengo que esperar? El momento es ahora. Ahora yo puedo. Desde ese momento he desarrollado más interés, pasión y deseo por vivir experiencias nuevas.
En esta oportunidad tuve la valentía de hacer senderismo, y descender en cuevas superolvidadas, cosa que ni me había pasado por la cabeza.

BIENVENIDOS 🐝

My experience began when I contacted an agency which was advertising their
next adventure "descend into the caves". I requested information about the place, the conditions I was going to face and of course how I could deal with them. As soon as the day arrived I was super excited. At 6 am. We go to the meeting point with the explorers to go to the place.
Then we started the road to the Tubores municipality, Orinoco, where I know
found this route with the desired destination.

Mi experiencia comenzó al comunicarme con una agencia la cual estaba haciendo publicidad de su próxima aventura "descender a las cuevas". Solicite información del lugar, las condiciones a las que me iba a enfrentar y por supuesto como podía afrontarlas. En cuanto llego el día estuve superemocionada. A las 6 A.M. nos dirigimos al punto de encuentro con los exploradores para dirigirnos al lugar.
Ya luego emprendimos el camino hasta el municipio Tubores, Orinoco, donde sé
encontraba esta ruta con el destino deseado.

Upon arrival, we met under a tree where we had our round of stretching to avoid any situation with our muscles, since the adventure was quite long. Stretches for arms, legs, knees, ankles and head, the basics. They gave us. Some instructions and we officially started the hike.

Al llegar, nos reunimos bajo un árbol donde tuvimos nuestra ronda de estiramientos para evitar alguna situación con nuestros músculos, ya que la aventura era bastante larga. Estiramientos de brazos, piernas, rodillas, tobillos y cabeza, lo básico. Nos dieron. Algunas instrucciones y oficialmente empezamos la caminata.

As I started around I could see fields of chili peppers, and some peppers, grown by local residents. As we continue along the path we see more fields of long, large banana and milky trees.

Al iniciar alrededor pude observar sembradíos de ají, y algunos pimientos, cultivados por pobladores locales. Al continuar el camino observamos más sembradíos de largas y grandes árboles de plátano y lechosas.

There came a point where the walk was a little steeper, and I had to be careful with some falls, or tripping over spikes of cardons or cacti along the way.

Ya llego un punto en el que la caminata era un poco más empinada, y tenía que tener cuidado con alguna caída, o tropezar con púas de cardones o cactus en el camino.

We made small rest stops, where we could hydrate ourselves and talk a little.

Hacíamos pequeñas paradas de descanso, en la que podíamos hidratarnos y conversar un poco.

After walking for approximately 3 hours we arrived at the first cave, the one called “The Cave of the Heart” in this cave we practiced the descent guided by the instructors and with a harness on.

Ya luego de caminar aproximadamente 3 horas llegamos a la primera cueva, la que tiene por nombre “La cueva del corazón” en esta cueva practicamos el descenso guiados por parte de los instructores y con arnés puestos.

When you go down you can see one of the signs that nature is fantastic, this cave is called the cave of the heart because of the shape that this part of the cave takes.

Al bajar puede observar una de las muestras que la naturaleza es fantástica, esta cueva se llama la cueva del corazón por esta forma que tomo esta parte de la cueva.

We continued our exploration walking to reach the second cave, which had no name, however, I could notice that it is shaped like a teardrop. Also walking a little further I was able to take this view of a hole through which they usually descend. From this you could see the light coming out a little more open, you can see the vines falling.

Continuamos nuestra exploración caminando para llegar a la segunda cueva, la cual no tenía nombre, sin embargo, pude notar que esta tiene como forma una lágrima. Tambien caminando un poco mas pude tomar esta vista de un hueco por la que suelen realizar descenso desde esta se podia observar la salida de luz un poco mas abierta, se ven caer las lianas.

Here inside we observe the shapes that the rocks have taken, we talk about our path and we also meditate a little to synchronize with nature.

Acá adentro observamos las formas que han tomado las rocas, conversado acerca de nuestro camino y también meditamos un poco para sincronizar con la naturaleza.

I was also able to find a dried toad. I found it super interesting.

También pude encontrar un sapo seco. Me pareció superinteresante.

In this case we had to practice climbing to get out of the place, this was a little easier, since we used the stones as supports to climb for some time, then the guides had to make a pulley.

En este caso tuvimos que practicar ascenso para salir del lugar, este fue un poco más sencillo, ya que utilizamos las piedras como soportes para escalar algo de tiempo, luego los guías tuvieron que hacer una polea.

When I left I had the opportunity to capture this lizard red-handed while eating a pitiguey, the fruit of cardones or mountain melons.

Al salir tuve la oportunidad de capturar infraganti esta lagartija tomando un pitiguey, el fruto de los cardones o melones de monte.

This opportunity was very enriching, connecting with nature is an elixir to align energies and continue with daily life. I hope you liked my publication, and can share with me the moment of reading it.
