Hello everyone. This post, I take everyone to see a small rural temple again. Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai also has many temples that I would like to share with everyone. And one of all the temples in Mae Ai District where I shared this post is called Wat Sai Dang. Before I take everyone to see this rural temple. I would like to share some brief information about this temple.

Wat Sai Dang is located in Sai Daeng, San Ton Mue Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai. This temple was built in AD 1867 or 157 years ago. And the temple received permission to be established as a temple in AD 1900 or 124 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1973 or 51 years ago.

It's time for me to take everyone to see the temple.

This temple's name plate is a simple name plate.

The entrance to the temple has no arch. But there are two gold color lion statues on the pillars between the entrances.

This temple has two sacred architectures : a stupa and a buddha image hall (viharn). The buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks plastered with cement and painted white, decorated with beautiful gold color stucco patterns. On the railing at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) is a statue of a Naga decorated with gold color patterns too. Unfortunately, that day the buddha image hall (viharn) was not open for us to see inside.

Beside the temple there is a bell tower. The bell tower of this temple is a two-story bell tower.

The second sacred architecture is the stupa. And I think the stupa is the highlight of this temple. The stupa is located in an outdoor courtyard away from the buddha image hall (viharn). This stupa is made of bricks plastered with cement and painted gold color. A polygonal-shaped stupa with a polygonal bell-shaped top. Looks beautiful and outstanding.

Another highlight is the buddha images and statues surrounding the stupa. Statues of the 12 zodiac signs of Thailand.

The statues of angel on the walls surrounding the stupa.

Various gold color buddha images surround the stupa. Some buddha images are housed in beautifully patterned cement arches.

Finally, I’ll go on to share the two golden lion statues with beautiful patterns in front of the stupa.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
