Richita, a mage who inadvertently absorbs magical powers from others, was feared and was considered an outcast. Because of this, she lives in the outskirts of their kingdom bordering the neigboring kingdom. She lives there with her young boy, Asta.

Due to her fear of draining her son's magical powers, she decided to take him to a church and leave him there. This way, he'd get to continue living a life full of magic which is a must in their world. However, as she was on her way to the church, she saw a heavily wounded little boy named Liebe.
Without much consideration, she took the wounded boy to her house together with Asta. Liebe, the boy she helped, turned out to be a demon from the underworld. He was treated as a slave and was bullied by the higher ranking demons.
As Liebe got back on his feet, he decided to help Richita to pay her back for her kindness. Through his power, he temporarily contained and sealed off Asta's magic so Richita won't be able to absorb it. He could have sealed her powers instead, but Liebe wasn't strong enough for it and he thought this would protect her from evil mages.

The two were raised as brothers by Richita. They did almost everything together. They physically trained and sometimes visited their childhood friend, Yuno, from the neighboring kingdom.
The three of them aim to go to the underworld to help Liebe achieve his goal of becoming the Demon Lord, so he could completely stop the abuse higher ranking demons are inflicting on the lower ranking ones.

This is my entry for Wild Plot Wednesdays 6... I've always wanted to see this alternate universe which focuses on Liebe. This baby surely deserves some love... and also, I really wanted Asta to experience a life with his mom. They all deserve to be happy. Thanks for reading! :)
