It's indeed being an amazing week. It's always a wonderful time in the Mass indoctrination, and today wasn't any different. In today's teaching, brother Eli addresses us on the inward and outward man.
2 Corinthians 4:16 - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
The inward man has it's features just as the outward man does likewise. In the scripture, we are told that the outward man perishes while the inward man lives forever. The outward man is given a little time to exist. We can be able to see the outward man with our physical eyes. However, it is not the same for the inward man.
We see the clear difference between the outward man and the inward man. The outward man perishes but the inward man does not. We don't see the inward man unlike the outward man. We are told in verse 18 that the things we can't see are eternal.
Physical things are temporal, this is why we should not focus so much on them. It is in our fleshy nature to be moved by the things we see with our eyes. In most cases, such things turn out to be actually deceiving.
We should not be too concerned about the things we can see physically. As humans, it is very possible to be moved by the things we see. Most times, they can be deceiving. We often see people apply a lot on their skins and don't joke with things they put on.
There is nothing wrong in looking good.
It's not actually a bad thing. Where the problem lies is when you invest more on the things of the flesh–which over time will fade off. Instead of doing so, it is much better to invest in our spirits; the inward man. Investment in the inward man profits you alot than investing in the outward man.
The thing with investment in the outward man is that it ends here on earth. It doesn't do much for us when we spend eternity.
