Sometimes, it is also great to spend time traveling to places, meeting other people, and seeing different views and scenes. The experience will be amazing when you're with your family or people who treat you as one.
Recently, my partner's family invited us to go with them as they visited their father's hometown in Lingayen, Pangasinan. We will be going to a wedding. Since it would be my first time going there, we did not think twice about saying yes to the invitation.
The travel will take us 4-5 hours. We had to prepare around lunchtime so we could touch down at the place late in the afternoon. During the ride, it was raining hard.
After hours of travel, we were finally there. I was mesmerized by the beautiful scenery that welcomed us. It was different from the mountains and rivers in our hometown. This time, all I saw were man-made fish ponds. This is their main source of income in this place, and it was explained by my partner's father really well.
My partner's relatives also greeted us. They were so happy and excited to see us all, but since they didn't know me yet, I was introduced as my partner's girlfriend. I just said hello and made gestures to show respect.
We then went to the second floor of the house to see the view better. My partner and I climbed the stairs to get there. When we were already there, I was amazed by the water surrounding the house. We even took pictures of the place, and I did not hesitate to take photos of myself.

After a few minutes on the second floor, the rest of the family climbed up. My partner has four brothers, by the way. When they were done sightseeing, they decided to take a family picture. We let them group themselves, with my partner's parents in the middle. They also gave their father a chair for comfort.
After spending time together, we decided to go down and talk with their relatives. We talked about random stuff and even played a mobile game with my partner's siblings.
When it was already dinner time, we just ate together, and I did not get to take photos during that time to show some respect. While we were at the dining table with their relatives, talking to them was overwhelming, maybe because it was my first time meeting them.
We were also toured around the house, especially the room where we would stay for two nights. My partner and I stayed inside the room for the rest of the night to rest and relax. We felt really tired from the 5-hour travel. In my next blog, I will share our activities during our two-day stay.
