Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I have you all are doing just great. I tell you what, you need to find a way to make yourself happy even if things aren't always going as planned because you owe yourself that. No one is ever gonna make you feel happy as much as you can do for yourself.
And one good way to be happy and live a healthy life is by being involved in any act of kindness, yeah, you heard right.

Kindness is a virtue, a lifestyle and you don't force people to be kind, it comes natural neither do one think too much before showing act of kindness, it comes just like an impulse and after doing it you feel real good.
But on the other way round, showing act of unkindness takes a lot from one - the time wasted on thinking, planning and executing the unkind act puts a lot of stress on both the mental and emotional health

    Let me ask

Are you aware that "kind hearted people are the happiest people you can ever come in contact with and their lifestyle is contagious, they spread happiness everywhere. You can't be with them and not learn how to be kind"?.

I hope you aren't surprised reading this because there's some truth in it. Kindness begets happiness and a happy soul is a healthy being. Oh I'm going spiritual, lol.

I'm sure you have experienced immeasurable happiness whenever you see the smiles of gratitude and appreciation on the faces of people you showed kindness to. The joy that fills your heart on seeing that will be so much that it radiates all over your face thereby sending a happy signal to every part of your body.

This is just my analysis, there might be some sense in it or none at all, lol.
But just know that kindness helps reduce stress, increase happiness improve one's overall well-being - mental, physical and emotional health.

    Kindness has a lot of great influence on one's physical well-being;

    • There's a belief that kindness releases feel-good hormones like oxytocin and serotonin, which have a calming effect and can reduce anxiety and depression.

    • Furthermore one who engages in acts of kindness is less likely to report physical health problems.

    • Also one who practices kindness meditation usually have lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and higher levels of antibodies that fight infection.

    • When one is happy and stress free, they will surely have a relaxed mind and good sleep. That's one gain of being kind.

Coming to our mental health, the effects of kindness are significant.

    • Kindness is said to help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, including improvement of self-esteem.

    • Again, it has a way of boosting feelings of happiness and gratitude both from the one who shows kindness and the receiver.

    • Not only that, kindness can help reduce loneliness and isolation, and equally increase one's sense of social connection. A kind person will always want to be out there showing one act of kindness or the other so he wouldn't have need to be lonely or isolated. Also when people notice that you are a kind hearted fellow, they will always like to associate with you and equally learn from you.

All of these effects can have a positive impact on our overall mental health and well-being.

    • My Little Acts Of Kindness For The Week

    • Got a Keke tricycle and equally paid for it to take a pregnant woman who was almost going into labor to the hospital. I ran like mad to get to the main road and luckily got an empty one fast. I had a good laugh at myself after she was safely tucked in and on her way to the hospital. At least I did an Impromptu exercise which had a positive impact on my physical health.

    • Tipped the security personnel at the office, he was surprised and full of appreciation. I was glad I did because he couldn't contain the happiness.

    • Called a neighbor at my office environment to join us in the vehicle back home so he can save the transport fare and he was so grateful.

    • Paid a fellow passenger's fare and the gratitude on her face made me happy.

    • Empathized with a friend on Hive who complained of having a bad day because of his failed project. I encouraged him to try laughing out loud which will help calm him down.

One can neve be at loss for being kind, it's all gain for the physical and mental health and social life.

Thank you for being so kind to stop by, read and share your thoughts. I greatly appreciate.
