Hive Fest Boat Ride - Why Are You So Slow - Billiards Day
The boat ride was canceled due to bad weather forecast. It didn't look that bad in the morning (or when ever i managed to get up) but looking at photos that @zirochka took on the walk, i would not want to be on a boat there:
So Lordbutterfly had to think quick and find a way to entertain us all. And i think he found a perfect solution. Billiards, Darts, Food and Drinks.
And some gambling. As the annual HiveFest Poker tournament also took place at the club.
I had an idea for the Poker video. But it started early (noon), and i was late. They did play for few more hours but they moved to a table with almost no light to free up the pool table. So here is a very short video from the poker game:
One of the reasons i was late for poker was that i was looking for a place to get lunch. I picked a place called The Fat Boar. One of the reasons was because it was 3 minutes from the billiard club and a place called The Fat Boar can't be that bad (and they come into the story again later)
I half randomly met with @forkyishere and @etblink there. The Fat Boar is a pretty decent place and the food is great.
From my perspective billiards was a great idea. A pretty big place for everyone to join. A social game that could be played for fun and with some serious competitiveness. I noticed few rivalities that probably go few HiveFests back :)
It is also a great opportunity to mingle. You don't want to play against same two people all night and it is a less awkward than joining people sitting at a table in a restaurant or a club. Lets be honest chunk of us are weird internet people 😁
And it was a really fun place to take photos and videos. When not playing.

Editing this video was also a lot of fun. I did take a lot of shots and trying to keep it under a minute there is good amount not included. Maybe i will do another one when there is nothing to edit and i am bored.
So after almost 6 hours at the Billiard club bunch of us decided we are hungry. And that is where the The Fat Boar comes to the story again. It was hilarious when 40 hungry Hive people dropped into the place. We could hardly fit inside. The guy taking orders was pretty pissed and annoyed but ended up checking out WorldMapPin on his phone and with a sticker of it on his wall 😂 (no photos for the place, was hungry)
Night continued with some people in the club, and some in front of it drinking beer (me and few more) and chatting. Tomorrow was Rally day and Closing drinks. Good thing is, it was at noon and not 9AM as i thought :)
