Season 20 Schedule - League Stage

Hello Players and Fans,

The new, already 20th season of @MAcFiT will start this coming Friday and Saturday with qualifiers. See my previous post on that.

The Season will consist of League Stage and Playoffs. The League Stage this time is a novelty - 32 players competing in one huge league. This is modeled on UEFA Champions League 2024/25. We won't of course play 31 matches times 2. Each player will have only 7 opponents. The fixtures are made by pairing players from different pots, so that everyone has a fair mix of good and not-so-good rivals.

The scheme is:

Player #1 from each pot will be matched against players #4 from other pots
Player #2 from each pot will be matched against players #3 from other pots

Players in the same pot will not play one another. See the Pots seeding at the end of this post.

There will be one Standings Table for all 32 players. After the League Stage, 24 players will advance to Playoffs:

players ranked 1 to 8 advance directly to Playoffs, Round of 16
players ranked 9 to 24 will play an additional Knock-out round, (with players ranked 9 to 16 seeded). The winners of each pair will join the Round of 16.

The League Stage will be played between December 4 an 20. There will be 7 Match Days, each played over two calendar dates. The dates are already fix, but we don't have the full roster yet - we need to wait for @Poliac 20 end of season and our Qualifiers. Update will be made on Monday, December 2.

This said, some players have been already qualified based on their previous @macfit performance. As a little reward for you regularity, you will know your first matches a bit ahead of the others.
