Un artículo más extenso y que encuentro muy agradable dice que es una aplicación japonesa que ha ganado gran popularidad por ser un generador de avatares personalizados.

Investigando más, sucede que existen muchos generadores de avatares con diferentes estilos, aunque todos coindicen en esta estética de "muñecas de papel", es decir ilustraciones que vas creando capa por capa.

✦ 1) If you prefer the automatic options, you have 2 to choose from:
Despues de una pantalla de carga muy cutie veras esto, si te salen algunas ventanas emergentes son permisos para conceder sencillos, dado el caso usa la opcion de traductor de tu navegador para aceptar.
After a very cute loading screen you will see this, if you get some popup windows they are permissions to grant simple, if so use the translator option of your browser to accept.
Cuando presiones el dado que se encuentra en al parte izquierda de la casilla de opciones debajo del personaje, te revelara 2 opciones: Una dice "Todo al azar" y te da este tipo de resultado aleatorio.
When you press the die on the left side of the options box below the character, it will reveal 2 options: One says “All random” and gives you this kind of random result.
La segunda opcion se traduce como "Artículo aleatorio" y también te da este tipo de resultado aleatorio.
The second option translates as “Random Item” and also gives you this type of random result.

Yo prefiero esta opcion, estoy segura la encontraras bastante intuitiva porque consiste en colocar poco a poco las características que quieres en tu personaje avanzando de izquierda a derecha en las opciones tanto de elementos que corresponden al físico como los de moda y estilo.
