The week began on a positive note, and I was full of optimism about it ending. It started with my expectation of the interhouse sports competition and the desire to feel stronger by the end of the competition, although we didn't end in the position I have loved, but then I'm pleased with the entire event, before an unexpected illness took the wheel and hinders me from doing most of what I've planned for the week.
At the competition, we came third and failed. I must say I was disappointed, not necessarily due to the students performance but with my other housemasters, who ought to play a huge role in inspiring the young athlete to achieve great things. Days ago, I remembered making a video and talking about how I need to stop depending on others to get the job done if I really want to achieve the best. Well, I guess I'm not entirely right, especially when it comes to a task that requires team effort.
Being a teacher in the junior school, I had to team up with teachers of the same house in second school so we could collaborate to lead the white house to victory in the interhouse sport, but when it all began, I was disappointed because it seems as though only two of us were putting in the effort in a team of eight sports masters, and both of us active were in the junior school.
I was disappointed by this and decided to withdraw my own commitment to the event, but then the students in junior schools already knew I'm their house sport master and always come to me to teach them because no one is doing that, so I came back and decided to just give it my all, but since the competition involves both seniors and juniors, I communicate with the senior teacher in our house to help us fish out good athletes that'll represent us.
But that is where the problem lies for our house. While the students representing us for junior school were thriving, the same can't be said for the senior school; in fact, I was left foaming with anger on the final day of the event when two senior school students who ought to represent us in 100m, 200m, and 400m races didn't show up, despite me visiting the senior school white house master to help me locate them since they're more familiar with them.
Well, had we had them represent us, I know we would have finished strongly at maybe second or first, but then third position isn't entirely bad; after all, there are three other houses who were being us in the peeking order, so cheers to the white house and all the students who put in efforts to make us reach where we did, although given the way others teachers did this year, I'm not sure I'll put in much effort in the next one, because I won't want to receive the same bad energy again.
Hive power up day
Happy new month everyone! It's a pleasure to witness the last hive power-up day or the year 2024. I started from the first, and it's good to know I can participate all through till date. Well, I'm pleased with how far I've come and looking forward to great things in the coming year.

Today I powered up 20 hive, and that has increased my total hive power to 12,585 hp. I'm hoping that before this year runs out I'll at least reach 13k hive power.
