Social media is a platform where you have the trends of information going worldwide, where you meet new people, people you know, and chat with them even when there is a long distance in between. Social media can also be a platform where you see positive and negative write-ups, images, and much more. It’s a place some people make a living from, like content creators and some online sellers, bloggers, etc. Social media has done great things and also bad things, affecting some positively and some negatively. Many people can’t do without social media because they live their main lives on it. Anything they do or go through is posted on the platform to make millions of people learn and see what they are going through. Some lie about things, some tell the truth, and even write-ups are not what you think they are.

People should not be judged by their social media profiles. A lot of people want the attention of other people, and they would go the extra mile to do this. Sometimes, it’s not their nature to do this; they go out of their way to please people. That’s why when you meet some people in the real world, they will be different from what you saw on social media.
These are some of the reasons why people should not be judged by their social media profiles.

-1. Posting for fun: A lot of people post for fun just to tell people that they have been to this place, and in real life, they might not have access to the places they post, but the chance of getting attention is likely. They have to be at the spot people want them to be. Some people do all these things just because it is expected of them.

    1. Fake profile: Many people's posts on social media come from fake accounts. Some people do this to scam others, while others do it to monitor other people they are close with. You would be chatting with a girl, not knowing you’re actually talking with your wife. It’s happened many times.
    1. Information carriers: Everyone has a different reason for being on social media, and some might be for work purposes. They are professionals at the work they do, so the way they respond to you online will be very different in person. Ask a customer care representative—a very rude set of people in real life but the most friendly online.

In conclusion, social media shouldn't be used as a venue for passing judgement on people since, until the true person, narrative, or information is obtained, some of the content put there isn't authentic. Only then may judgements on social media platforms be made.
