A small piece was made to close up the footwell and I spent a bit of time grinding the welds down.
Then I moved rearwards and started cutting out the rusted parts. Where the seat bolts down on the floor, there is a spreader plate underneath. I cut it out completely as I was sure that there would be rust between the floor and the thicker plate and there was! I will be making up a new, longer plate like I did for the drivers side as the seat I have is not original and the mounting point is further back.
I also cut out all of the rusted parts under the car right at the back of the cab.
Now the whole process of paper templates, fitting and welding etc.
