    Welcome Everyone

Hello Hivers and Warriors in Splinterlands, hope you all are having a great time enjoying your battles in Splinterlands. Let's enjoy the game and fight for some amazing rewards. Having battles in Splinterlands is always a good choice to spend your time. I enjoy every battles in Splinterlands and had great time in opening Rebellion packs. Normally, I will share anything about Splinterlands on the social media, it could be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

The topic of this post will mainly focus on my strategy on the Counterspell rule set. And let's move on and discuss how we won the battle.

    The Principal Rule Set: Counterspell

    image.png

All monsters have the magic reflect ability.

Note: We are suggest to use non-magic monsters in this kind of battles since we are hurting our monster by attacking others if we still want to use the magic monsters. Or in other way, we can use Void ability to help us in battle. The summoner Immortalis could be a great choice if we decide to go for magic.

    The Lineup Analysis

    Summoner

    image.png

The THADDIUS BROOD is the my favorite summoner under the rule set of Little League since we are only able to use monsters under 4 Mana. It means most of the monsters are very low in health and the -1 health debuff makes them more fragile. It helps me kill my enemies faster.

    Front Row

    image.png

The RIFTWING is definitely a good tank in low cost battles. The headwinds debuff all the attack of rangers of my enemy and the scavenger could be powerful if there are monsters die in the battlefield. Combining with the -1 health debuff make it easy.

    Second

The REVEALER is also a great tank in low mana battles while only costs 4 mana but with decent 5 hp and 2 attack. Plus, the stun ability sometimes works well if we got the bless from god of luck.

    Third

    image.png

The VENARI BONESMITH with Life leech ability helps itself to reduce the damage reflect by Counterspell rule set. And the poison ability have 50% chance of dealing 2 true damage each round. I think it should be a good DPS while we considering the basic stats and the poison ability together.

    Fourth

    image.png

The RAVENHOOD WARDEN is the SB reward card edition that we are able to get them for free in current gameplay. The ability of protect could give 2 shield to all my monsters in the battles as long as the RAVENHOOD WARDEN is still alive in battle. Under the keep distance ruleset, no melee monsters could be used. The protect ability could protect my monsters well in case my enemy use any range monsters.

    Fifth

    image.png

The DOCTOR BLIGHT is definitely a beast as the CL edition promo card especially in Gold League. As mentioned, the scavenger ability could make my DOCTOR BLIGHT stronger and stronger as the time goes by in battle since there are monsters finally died in the end. Plus, the poison ability is also a great way to slay my enemy faster if I hit the 50% chance of poison damage.

    Last

    image.png

The SOUL STRANGLER is my favorite in low mana battles while using the Death element since it is low in Mana cost which cost 3 Mana. But, the point is that it has 4 attack which is pretty amazing although it does not have any ability. The attract thing is excellent in damage but very Fragile which is easy to sacrifice. As a result, I put it in last place while concerning the chance of sneak ability is almost 0 due to no melee monsters could be used.

    Battle Result

    image.png

It was a good example to proof that the debuff strategy works well in low mana battles. As a result, my reflection is that I will try to use this strategy when the rule set is favorable or I have enough mana to pick all the monsters with relevant ability to make a combination. Besides that, I also learn the strategy from my enemy to utilize the healing ability with a good front tank. I will definitely try this strategy in the future since I think my enemy also has a good line up but the only concern is that he used too many magic monsters and hurting themselves while attacking me.
