According to tradition, it is known as "Palm Sunday," but leaving aside questions of tradition, economics, etc. For the Jews, this was the day on which the lamb was selected and set aside for the sacrifice that would cover sin for a year. We remember that many years before, when the Jewish people were still slaves in Egypt, God had warned them that death would come at some point to afflict each household, and this would happen even if the family was not marked or righteous. But God at the same time provided a way out: all those who took refuge behind the blood of an innocent and spotless lamb would be saved and live.
For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins.
Hebrews 10:4
That is why for many years the people of God presented themselves in the presence of God, offering sacrifices, praying and saying "save us," while the blood of an innocent and spotless lamb was shed. But we remember that the blood of all the animals that had been sacrificed could not purify the people from sin; they were covered from it, but never cleansed from sin.
Then came the great day when people celebrated a ruler of the land who they believed would break that suo that had them or pressured them like that in Rome, the Jewish people wanted freedom. Según la tradición se conoce "el día domingo de Ramos" pero dejando de un lado las cuestiones de tradición, económicas, etc. Para los judíos este era el día en que se seleccionaba y se apartaba el cordero para el sacrificio que cubriría el pecado por un año. Recordamos que muchos años antes cuando el pueblo judío era aún esclavo en Egipto, Dios le había advertido que la muerte en un momento vendría para afligir a cada uno de los hogares, y esto sucedería aún sin la familia fuiste marcada o justa, pero Dios al mismo tiempo dio una salida: todos aquellos que se refugiara detrás de la sangre de un cordero inocente y sin mancha serían salvos y viviría.
porque la sangre de los toros y de los machos cabríos no puede quitar los pecados.

Es por eso que durante muchos años el pueblo de Dios se presentaba de la ver presentando sacrificios orando y diciendo "sálvanos" esto mientras la sangre de un cordero inocente y sin mancha se derramaba, pero recordamos que la sangre de todos los animales que habían sido entregados en sacrificio no podían purificar al pueblo del pecado, eran cubiertos de este pero nunca limpios del pecado.
Entonces llegó el gran día cuando las personas celebraban a un gobernante de la tierra que creía que rompería ese subo que lo tenían o presionados así en Roma, el pueblo judío quería libertad. Pero Dios en sus planes más alto y sublime tenía una libertad mucho más poderosa, el pueblo judío creía que elegiría nombre pero en lugar de ello estaban eligiendo un cordero, ese cordero que sería sacrificado para quitar el pecado del mundo.
