Anxiety, many people don’t even understand what the word means yet they calm to have it.
Hello beautiful readers, it’s a great morning here today and I’ll like to share my thoughts on a topic that has been trending on one of the most popular web2 platforms “TikTok”
There is a song that has been trending on TikTok for a while and the lyrics goes like this.
Anxiety
Keep on trying me
Feel it quietly
Tryna silence me, yeah
Anxiety
Shake it off of me
Somebody's watching me
It's my anxiety
The song is a cool song but I don’t understand why many people started calming to have Anxiety. Many people don’t know what anxiety is or the complications it brings.

Living with anxiety can be exhausting. It's not just about feeling nervous before a big presentation or a job interview. It's about feeling on edge all the time, even when there's no obvious reason to be anxious. It can affect your sleep, your appetite, your relationships, and your overall well-being.
One of the complications of anxiety is the physical toll it takes on your body. The constant state of stress can lead to headaches, muscle tension, stomach issues, and even heart palpitations. It's like your body is constantly in fight-or-flight mode, which can be incredibly draining.
So why are people trying to walk the path of anxiety or claiming to have what they don’t. I heard a friend singing the song and the next thing she said was
“I can relate so well with this song because I have Anxiety”
Then I asked her what she thinks or understand about anxiety and the definition given was off what true anxiety is. When people starts being curious about things they don’t know or have little knowledge about, it becomes dangerous especially when such a thing is harmful to their health.
Despite all these complications, it's important to remember that anxiety is a common and treatable condition.
Oh yes, anxiety is a condition that should be viewed like a disease, so before going around claiming you have anxiety because of a song you heard, think carefully. Are you ready to visit the therapist frequently or to be placed on drug.
Understanding a condition before claiming it is very important. Sometimes we become too curious and end up endangering our life. One thing we should look out for is our mental health and how to treat ourselves better instead of jumping into conclusions on any little discomfort or sign.
