Hello! This post is for Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. In this week, I will be opening 200 Minor Chests, which can be bought by glints, and see what rewards I got!

Minor Chests

In the rewards Shop, Minor Chests can be bought for 200 Glints. In this photo, since I bought all Batch 1 Minor Chests, the prize increased. So, I spent 40,000 Glints for the 200 Chests.

Each chest has:

• 33% chance of getting a random Card.
• 31.999% chance of getting a Leg or Alchemy postion.
• 30% chance of getting Merits.
• 5% chance of getting 1 Energy.
• 0.001% chance of getting Jackpot.

Now, let's see what prizes did I got from those 200 chests!

Here is the % of rewards that I got, comparing to the % shown in description.

• Cards: 32.5%

Cards' expected %: 33%

• Potions: 31.5%

Potions' expected %: 31.999%

• Merits: 29.5%

Merits' expected %: 30%

• Energies: 6.5%

Energies' expected %: 5%

• Common: 81.5%

Common pull's expected %: 78.9% (77.8% when potions used)`

• Rare: 16.9%

Rare pull's expected %: 20%

• Epic: 1.5%

Epic pull's expected %: 2% (1% * 2 by potion)

• Legendary: 0%

Legendary pull's expected 0.2%: (0.1 * 2 by potion)

In short, I was lucky to get more energies. But, I got more Commons than the expected %, which was compensated by a GF common.

Full Breakdown

You could see that I mostly got some usual awards like common cards, Merits, and potions for those cards. However, I also got a common GF, an Epic Night Reaper, and a ton of energies.

Here is the list of full rewards:

• 53 Common Cards (1 GF)
• 11 Rare Cards
• 1 Epic Card
• 0 Legendary Card
• 59 Merit Draws
• 38 Alchemy Potions
• 25 Legendary Potions
• 13 Energies

And here is the list of full rewards with Glint price:

• 7950 Glints for Common Cards
• 8250 Glints for Rare Cards
• 7500 Glints for Epic Cards
• 6000 Glints for Merits (1 Merit Draw calculated as 100 Merits)
• 3800 Glints for Alchemy Potions (Guild DC excluded)
• 2000 Glints for Legendary Potions (Guild DC excluded)
• 28600 Glints for Energies (Base cost: Diamond II)

If we add all that, the final rewards that I got is equal to: 64,100 GLINTS! It is almost 1.5x the cost that I bought, which means that buying Minor Chests on a large scale will most likely give better results than buying those things individually.

• Side Note: I used Potions for the draws, which means that if you bought the potions with Glint, you should add -11,700 for the Potion cost. It's still around 50K Glint

Also, the Energy price varies between leagues, which means that buying Chests at higher leagues, or at the end of the season, is better. And the actual earnings from the Energy will vary from leagues and your reward multipliers.
